Well, I'm pretty sure, they differ. I had a Piston, the same as yours, some time ago and compared to this video (3:44):

the grind seems not to be the same.

Just got mines from bladehq. I tried to deassist this but no retention when closing. Mines came with a hole fhrough the blade just like the blur.

The detent ball is flat. Anyone know if this is normal?

Btw they had it cheaper than elsewhere....

Get someone to make you some scales,,

If they do an aluminum Piston, I'm all over it.

I sold my Piston to get the Knockout, and my pockets are much happier. The G-10 didn't work so well with my work slacks.

I'm going to go ahead and give another two big thumbs up for the Piston. I just received one and I really like it. It's very light for it's size, and packs a large blade with a nice blade shape. Carries pretty deep also. It's my new favorite Kershaw!
