Kershaw RAM thoughts?

The R.A.M. is a great knife for EDC. Perfect size even for bigger hands and it flips open smoother than butter. I got a great deal on mine from chester22 and I love it. I'll probably pick up a plain edge one soon.

Get the Ram. They are a nicely sized knife with a flipper action that is as smooth it gets.

The RAM is one of the most fun flippers that Kershaw makes imo. I own 3 of them and I dont have any plans on getting rid of them. They are light, fast, carry well in the pocket, have great ergos, and are really easy to keep hair popping sharp. The tanto Zing is an interesting knife but the ergos were off for me. Plus I'm not big on tantos for EDC.

Here's a video I did on the RAM not that long ago.

The R.A.M. is my favorite Kershaw. I say get a blem from Kershawguy. $55 shipped.

The RAM is awesome. So Awesome I bought two of them. Very unique looking knife with a unique mechanism, and it's surprisingly comfortable to boot.

Just thought I would add that I believe the reason the R.A.M.'s are blems is because their pillars do not match. Some are gloss black while some are flat, and slightly different sizes as well. If you go the blem route, you should not have anything to worry about.

The RAM is my favorite manual Kershaw of all time. I think the Skyline is wonderful too, but the RAM is better because the it can be effectively opened with the studs and not just flipped. My current favorite assisted American made Kershaw is the new Knockout. I would love Piston, but it is a big knife, not a viable EDC for me. Closed, the Piston is 5", which makes it about thee size of a Endura closed.

agreed, the RAM is one of my all-time fav's! Its one of the funnest knives to flip ever made, the lock system is simply amazing...wish it were on more blades.

The R.A.M. has been a great user for me. I never worry about it for any reason. Very reliable folder.
I still need to update my photos though. It is now polished with the Amboyna scales.

This thread is bad! I just broke down and brought a nib on off the bay. It was cheaper than kershawguys blems or i would have gone that route.

As stated, the R.A.M is outstanding for an EDC in the small/medium-small category. I have 2 and they are an absolute joy to flip. Once it overcomes the first contact on the detent it just FLIES open. Much smoother and easier than a lot of the other flippers i have handled. It even rivals knives with assist mechanisms!

I have larger hands, so i tend to buy bigger knives so its comfortable, but this one has the right ergos to fit in any size hand.

I am not sure about the finish of the standoffs, but I will add that there are two different sizes on them, so that is normal.
