Kershaw subforum missing from Bladeforums??

And that is good enough for me!:thumbup:

I wonder what he is cooking up......:D

Regardless of why it happened it makes the company look suspicious. I mean they could at least say "we are going to open our own Kershaw forum" or something.

It seemed at times that things got somewhat heated on that subforum quite easily.

Oh well...

Suspicious? I don't even know what that means?

I already said David that we had an issue we couldn't get over with BF's. Kevin and I discussed it at length. I felt it was in our best interest to move on. The details of the issue are between Kevin and I.

We don't have immediate plans to open another forum.

Is that good enough for you or did you need something more to keep us from looking suspicious?

I'm also not sure what your talking about with the heat in the sub-forum, but I guess you felt there was. Sorry we were too passionate for you.

That response is exactly what I mean. I just stated my opinion and you get all sarcastic with the "too passionate for you" statement. Along with the "is that good enough for you".

I think you tend to take everything to heart and/or take it personally when it is is not. I would say that if you didn't take things so personally and were more relaxed like Sal, you would be better off. Again, no offense meant to you.....you just seem to take things very personally.

As far as suspicious. It's just weird that all the sudden "it's gone". It may or may not have an impact on sales but I can assure you that I purchased more Kershaw knives just from the pictures and reviews on that subforum which is now gone.

Best of luck to you.

The suspicious thing is that you won't say the reason. It shouldn't be surprising to you that people are speculating about why it's happening. If you won't say the reason, people are going to assume it was something really bad.

I don't understand why anyone thinks the reason behind the Kershaw forum closing needs to be stated. The business dealings behind the scenes really isn't any of our concern. Sure I'm curious like everyone else but it isn't going to change anything to know "the reason."

The speculating wouldn't stop even if a reason was given. It would continue on as people speculated on the reasons behind the reason.

I'm agitated the Kershaw forum closed....it was one of the main reasons I come here. Should a Kershaw forum open somewhere else, I'll be there. I'll be here as well.

It's a financial isssue between BF & Kershaw. IMO. or
Kershaw did not want a forum that would trash their upcomming line up for 2009. IMO
But that's a long shot. They probably have a killer product line for 09. Just a thought.
or
After Kershaw did not renew Ken Onion's contract. (Ken's words not mine) he (KO) put the Kibash on Kershaw. I think we all know what the Kibash from a power broker like KO can do. But that's just my opinion, spectulation and a some rumors that may or may not be true. I'm mean, I just saying, Ya know?

It is a huge loss for me personally and for all of Blade Forums.
That's a fact. :(

Er, maybe it's just me but:

1) they're just pocket knives;
2) it's just a forum;
3) it's gone;
4) the folks are all still here.

Key-rist-uh, it's like being at a party, and a group of friends is in a room talking, having fun, and the host says "hey, guys, can you just clear out this room, you can't be in here." Do you say, "Why do I have to leave this room? What is your reason for kicking me out of the room?" Probably not. You take your drinks, your conversation, your fun, and MOVE TO ANOTHER ROOM!

We're all here, there's a whole house, move along. The room's off limits, that's all the host needs to tell you.

:)

David, you have summed up exactly how I feel as well. :thumbup:

Very unhappy circumstance.

People trying to stir up more unhappiness about it with their suspicions and the bad taste in their mouth should stop looking under the bed at night, and brush their teeth from time to time.

This is a good time to say goodbye, go in peace, hope to see you again sometime soon. Sniping is a real bad attitude.

You all know Kershaw and Thomas W in particular ran a great forum, that's why so many people are upset it's gone. Show some class and don't throw stones at the man as he's walking away.

The only FACT you have stated is the loss for you and all of Blade Forums.
The forums are cheaper than ever now as far as the cost. Just look at how many knife makers, material dealers or service guys have opened up one since Spark lowered the price. As for the new line up, speculation is just that.

Now that is MHO.

Lighten up dude. Just a thought. :thumbup:

Lighten up is what you and a few others could do. Inventing rumors is a cheap shot at any time. Just now it's a lot worse.

It's trolls who stir things up and then pretend it was a joke when they get called on it.

It hurts me in my heart that the Kershaw forum is gone from BladeForums, BUT Kershaw itself is still "around", so lets leave it at that. I thank Thomas W., etc. for the many good times on the Forum, and wish them ALL the BEST.:thumbup:.:thumbup:.

BTW...I'm going to miss all the free Kershaw knives, and the excellent "give-aways" that I received from the Kershaw Forum, and from Thomas W.:(.

David, thanks for the advice, but when you come knocking with "suspicious" type commentary, I'll respond every time. The word makes it sound like there was something not on the up and up with us, and that's not the case. I've alluded to the hurdle in my recent posts on this subject , so I'm unsure why it can't be left at that? :confused:

To address Condition 1, it's not financial, doesn't have to do the trashing of product, or KO. There are no hard feelings from either us nor BF's.

I don't expect everyone to like or care for my style, and can't control peeps feelings, but personally speaking David, I find your words about my posting style a bit ironic considering your past on the forums.

This situation came up suddenly, and the result finished up quickly. Things happen that way. We weren't expecting or planning for an exit, wished it didn't have to be this way, but that is just the way it worked out.

BF and Kershaw will both carry on with continued success.

Still have your addy gman...come to think of it, I think everyone does. ;)

how about a parting giftaway to all subforum posters? I'm sure it'll cheer us all up a bit!

Thomas, are you going to be around anymore at all?
