Just saw this, and didn't see it posted here yet... Chalk up another point for Kershaw's great customer service.

Kershaw now offers re-blading for $10!

Hey, we know. Accidents happen. But that's no reason to give up your Kershaw. Especially not now. We've recently instituted a great new option: you can get a brand new blade, for cheap!

Here's the deal: If you accidentally break your Kershaw folding knife's blade—or commit some other heinous, yet accidental, act on it—we can replace your knife's blade for you and return it in good working order for just $10.

Yep, just $10 for any Kershaw folding knife. That includes Blade Traders.

Simply send your knife in to us according to warranty instructions. We'll replace the blade for you, spruce up your knife, and return it to you. Please note that we cannot replace fixed blade knives under this program.

Also, please note that Kershaw knives with "XXXX" on their blades are factory seconds and are not eligible for repair or replacement.

And, of course, Kershaw blades that have broken due to a manufacturing defect will be replaced under warranty, free of charge, as always.

I'm kinda curious what happened to that Skyline featured on that page though... Looks like something burned a hole through the blade...

EDIT: As a fellow forum member pointed out a bit further down in this thread... Zero Tolerance Re-Blading for $30!

From that page, they feature a broken ZT 0561. Sounds like they had a difficult time even when they were deliberately trying to damage it.

It really took a lot to break this ZT's blade. In fact, to show it to you, we had to use a hydraulic press. Even to just break off the tip, we had to hammer and hammer against an anvil—and the anvil took some damage, too.

Very cool to know!! I can tell you exactly what happened to that Skyline. Someone used it on a receptacle and arc'd it on some 110. I have too many blade screwdrivers that look exactly like that. To this day I still refuse to turn off the breaker... :)

Cool! I doubt I'll ever need to use the service but it is a very good program to offer. They sure do aim to please.

Does this include the ZT line? Also, any exclusions like limited disco'd knives?

Unbelievable!!! Now I won't hesitate to abuse my Kershaw knives to the max.

Stuff like this is what sets Kershaw's customer service apart from the others. I assume this applies for ZT knives as well right?

This is awesome. It will definitely raise the bar for other production companies to step up warranty and repair services to stay afloat.

I'm wondering if this coverage is applicable to discontinued models.

I'm wondering if this coverage is applicable to discontinued models.

I can't imagine they have many extra disco'd blades just sitting around, unfortunately.

I image they also wouldn't work on franken Leeks/Blurs/Skylines.

So does anyone know if this also applies to ZT knives? I am eager to know!!! I use and own more ZT's than Kershaws. If this also applies to ZT then Kershaw will be receiving much more of my business in the future.

Yikes! I didn't figure arcing 110V would be be good for you, but to vaporize a hardened steel like that... I've seen burned screwdriver heads from people mistakenly working on live DC wire, but I didn't think AC would do that too.

I don't know if it covers ZT products. Aside from what's posted on the Kershaw Blog, I don't know anything else. Just saw that posting myself a few minutes before mentioning it here. I would guess current production models are covered, and discontinued or sprint runs may be limited to what extra parts they have on hand.

This might bring me back to Kershaw. I love leeks, but I had a bad habit of snapping that tip off , file it down and snap it off again. So I stopped buyin themw. I have really been eying the cryo 2 as well. May give it a shot.

cool, i dont have any kershaw knives but will now consider them in my future knife purchases whereas i probably wouldent have before.
good move kershaw :)

This does apply to the ZT line of knives. I actually looked it up the other day. For the ZTs it's a $30 fee. Considering the size of the blade on my 0301 and the tiger striping, seems fair to me haha.

From the ZT Site:

What does it mean by "Blade Traders"?

It was a particular series of knives. I don't know too much, but from what I've gathered, it's an outdoors oriented knife that has exchangeable blades (a saw, a fillet knife, and the like). Google could probably get you where you want to be.
