Kershaw Volt anyone?

Is anyone as excited about this guy as me? It looks like something out of a dream where Kershaw knock on my door and tell me I'm the chosen one and this is my Chosen One knife. It is a bit big (almost 9 inches long) but I like the lines, a LOT. And I'm pretty sure it has a small deep-carry tip-up clip. Sweet job Mr. Martin and Kershaw!

I believe they will be shipping in early December. Anyone else waiting with baited breath to pick one up?:thumbup:

I have more ordered than I have fingers or toes.
Between those, the Speedforms and the OCC's too (Cadre) no one is getting any Christmas presents. :D

Oh my goodness. I want.

How much do they cost? I'm assuming you didn't pay full MSRP.

It aint cheap ! :D

I would pine for one much more if it didnt have the integrated G10.

Otherwise it looks like another winner from Kershaw !

The cheapest I've seen it on google so far is $138 before shipping but Ive never heard of the place before and I can't find any reviews so I don't know if is real or not. There are some other places in the $140's before shipping...

I think the G10 will make it easier to hold and use, no problems for me.

Haha, should you be getting them for free or something?

Btw, what is the cadre? ...any pics floating around? :)

I wish they were free. Sadly, no.
I hope they stay above the $150 range. Cutting them too cheap is not good.
Besides, buying cheap isn't always the best route. Take a look at the GB&U and Hall of Shame here.

The Volt and Speedform as well.

The Volt and Speedform both seem like great designs and I'm sure the execution with those materials will make them well worth the money. I simply don't care for G-10, as much I might to like the knives.

I want the Volt, it's the absolute perfect knife I've envisioned in all my dreams. I don't think that I could imagine a better knife if I tried.

The Volt really reminds me of the Darrell Ralph designed Heat that Camillus made a few years back.

The two are sufficiently different, but I do see similar cues.

That is one reason I want to give the Speedform a try - the Speedform has a little BM 800 to the design. Thinking it'll index in the hand well and be comfortable to use.

It really is hard not to see elements of other knife designs in any knife, I must admit.

Then my question would be: What is Bohler M390? Never heard of it before.

It's a european version of 20CV.( the same way RWL 34 is the same as CPM 154) An excellent steel made famous by Rick Hinderer in his XM-18. SOG has a team leader fixed blade in this steel.

It's in most updated steel charts listed as 20CV. A bit more wear resistance than S30V, not as much as S90V. Good stuff all around.

The El-Max I've seen the chemical makeup in it, but I'm not experienced with it's performance.

Definately gotta have the Volt. I have a couple on preorder and to get them before Christmas would just be icing on the cake!:D
