I have a 0801 & a 0801TI and while I liked the 0801 I absolutely love the 0801TI. I think it was the one knife that flew below the radar in 2017 that ZT released. Really glad I have one. Really improved on the 0801 IMO.
 
This is a ZT/GTC/REK/SpySmasher collaboration. I think you'll believe me if I say it cuts like a razor. I wish I could photograph it to show how nice the finish looks.

If it looked like that straight from ZT I would have bought one. That looks great.

The 0801 certainly is underappreciated, but lets not forget the 0450 and 0452 are essentially purpose-made piercers...

In my opinion, yes. That ghastly compound grind is the sole reason I won't ever be buying one. Loving yours :cool:

I honestly think the original grind looks better with the handle. But the blade itself looks really cool and I have no doubts you improved cutting performance a 100 fold :thumbsup:

Oh I’m not forgetting them. I’ve owned them both and found them both to be significantly thicker behind the tip and edge than the 801TI. And much less sharp from the factory. At least in all the examples I’ve had (one 0452 and five 0450s).

With this knife I have no interest in the original blade grind but give ZT kudos for doing something outside of the box. But yes, in my mind you've made that knife better in the roll of EDC.

When I decided to give ZT a go it was this knife or the 0562cf that I was going to get. I ended up going with the latter due to the overall bladeshape and 20cv steel but I really like this one too. You guys are making me want one bad. :D
