Kershaw/ZT Picture Thread!!! Let's See Em'!

Here we go, MQQN showing everybody up like usual lol… very cool 0450CFDAM!
Edit: I remember seeing your prototype 0452CFDAM, and they should make that happen, in a limited edition of course. That thing is crazy 😍

I didn’t know anyone made Hinderer pivot screws for the 0566… are those MXG or actual XM 3” screws?
They look great, if I had extra money I would put those on my 566, 562, 0801 etc…
I had a blue screw on my 0393, I think it was an XM 3.5” 18/24 screw, but I could be mistaken.

And a mandatory pic, big n little BW guys

Got a 0308BLKTS on the way too, I’m pumped

New to me 0308blkts… installed skiff bearings, a little TLC, and this thing is smooth as butter. What a beast. I didn’t think anything could make the 0909 feel slim…
Edit: these 0308s should come with a warning, something like “this knife will make the rest of your collection feel WEAK and inferior” lol seriously, that’s how my Eklipses and many other “big” ZT’s feel now!

Edit: HEADS UP…
0223s can be found NEW for $289 right now, I might get one next payday….
anyone (who owns it) have any opinions on that one???

I got to handle a 0223 at a knife store recently. I was surprised how nice a knife it was. Tim Galyean designed it, and he's done some high priced customs. Obviously the blade decorations, the gimping and mind blowing holes, just killed the sales, but the Ti framelock flipper action is REALLY good. Reminded me of a Koenig Arius action.

It's ergos are interesting, it's a slim knife with a longer handle for a 3.5" blade. The clip point is nice, and there's no thumb studs. Although it has a retro military look, it's more of a gentleman's folder than a survival knife. The holes probably won't be a problem for that category of EDC.

I'm hoping they do another run with a plain jane blade.

That 0223 is just darn fugly. I’ve tried to like it, but can’t. I’m sure it’s typical ZT quality though. Can’t do it.

I know and I hear you, I just feel like once these are gone they are gonna be one of those models (like the 0920) that are really hard to find, and I’m gonna kick myself for not getting one now.
I don’t mind the holes in the blade - since I believe something in the pivot would break, before a .155” piece of steel would.
What I don’t like (aesthetically) is the brown G10 overlay on the handle.
I did just get paid…… 🧐 and I think BHQ has em for like $270 now, they keep dropping the price

I picked up an 0223 a month or two ago. I've always really liked the blade shape and overall profile of the knife, but couldn't ever bring myself to buy one based on some of the design choices (the holes! whyyyyy?!) and the price.. I could just never justify the purchase to myself. And then I stumbled across it marked down to $249 for BHQ's "deal of the day".. that broke me haha. I figured that was the best price I was going to see it at before it was gone for good, so I caved..

It's a nice knife, and one that I think is much easier to appreciate in person. The flipping action is excellent. All the typical great ZT F&F applies.. the DLC looks fantastic in person (i don't think it comes across in online pictures how nice the DLC coating is.. on the blade and the ti.. it is really nice in person). Ergos are quite good for the handle profile being so thin.. the G10 "wrap" isn't the best looking design choice imo, but it does make the knife quite comfortable to hold. Somehow, the holes even suck less in person.. they are drilled into the thickest part of the blade and I see no danger of them becoming a stress point with normal knife use (or even heavy use for that matter), in spite of what the youtube bushcraft warriors may tell us.. The knife is very sturdy, very well put-together. I 100% get why the aesthetics put people off.. they are admittedly.. different. But.. I'm glad I ended up with an 0223 after holding off on buying one for so long.. different can be good sometimes..

Awsome review, thank you for sharing your opinions. I have no way to handle the knife before buying it, so very helpful. I had no idea it was so thin, the pics make the G10 on the handle look THICK. And yeah I’m not concerned with the holes at all… I’m sure the knife is plenty reliable…
And
If you think about what it would take to break a .156” piece of steel, I have NO doubts that the pivot/bearings would warp or break before the blade would snap at its thickest point

Weird perspective change between the photos. But I love me some ZT. Wish they still built HD folders 😅View attachment 2103922View attachment 2103917
Nice 0560BW! I just picked up the same version. Looks like you are getting your moneys worth out of that one.
And just a heads up, if you like the 0560 and the overbuilt theme, check out a 0308, even if you just get a chance to handle one, they are VERY beefy! I’d put it in the same category as my 0909, 0200, or a 0550/0560, but with lockbar inserts, even better steel, and bearings.
It’s a “Poor” man’s XM-24

Thanks, I love it. Definitely a great user. I lament the loss of my 0200, miss that knife a lot. Will take a look at the 0308. Not a huge fan of the blade shape or length-could be 4.5”? 😕 Or maybe I’m just compensating. 😆😉
