It opens up quick, easy, and locks up tight.

nice pics! What is your set up?

Great pics on the orange Tyrade. I have one orange, along with two tan, and another black being held for me until the end of the month. These are some awesome knives for the money!

Who's got the tan ones?

I wasn't really thinking about getting a full set, I was just interested in the orange ones since you don't see that color too much. But now that I have it I'm thinking about going for the full set.

I got mine today!!

Ultra nice. Great feel. Hefty. Perfect lockup, blade perfectly centered.

Then I tried to switch it to tip up and promptly wrecked both screws. I dont think the holes are tapped properly...but I robbed some screws from another Kershaw and put it back to tip down so I can use this beast.

Ill get some new screws coming and this thing will be perfect.

I think the tan are still a couple weeks out flash. For the price, a complete set of these is relatively inexpensive, and thats my plan. I am going to keep a black out for daily edc use though as this is an excellent knife. I moved my clip for tip up carry without a problem, though the screws seemed to begin as though I might have a problem, they ended up going in just fine.

As Mickey said to Rocky in Rocky 3 when looking at the Rocky Statue:

"....it really is a thing of beauty!"

Send it to me I'll break it in for ya :D

I think I like it better than the first one.

garyvv, the Tyrades have a laynard hole. I'm going to answer about how it feels in your hand, though I think maybe the question is directed to Flash. For me, large hands, it feels good. As measured by my mic, the handle thickness is about .540". Most of my knife tasks do not require a lot of time in hand, so for me this really feels good, especially the width, top to bottom, gives it a handfilling feel. If I was going to handle and use the knife for an extended period of time, it might get uncomfortable, though a pair of lite weight gloves would probably go a long ways toward fixing that.

Thanks, cutter17. I couldn't tell from the pictures. I'll now be ordering one for my stepson and one for myself.

Both of you are going to love this thing.

The "THWAK" it makes when it opens is a thing of beauty.

Now I "NEED" a orange OD-1. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
That would be sweet. With some ZDP-189 and a low ride clip.

How could a lanyard be put on one of these?

I know your question has alread been answered, but if you look below my little finger in the last pic you can see the big hole for a lanyard.

How do you like the knife? how is the handle?

From what little handling I've done with it, the knife handles great. It's more comfortable than my JYD CB. (BTW, those gloves of mine you see in the picture are XL to give you an idea of the size of my mitts) The ergos are right on up there with my Spec Bump. The Tyrade is wider the Spec Bump and it makes it feel like it would be more suited for heavy use. It also set flatter then the Spec Bump (though not by much) in the pocket due to it's flat scales vs. Spec Bumps contoured scales. The Tyrade does take up more pocket room though. What's interesting is that the Tyrade's liners and back spacer is wider than the Spec Bump's.
