KenM K: If the handle and the tang would have held up it would have got a higher rating. at least a five. It would have not held up to the side tang impacts like many knives before it that failed this. It would have not gotten a 6. The tests are designed to get a failure at some point. I attack all areas of the knife from butt to tip. Sometimes certain fail points will be very obvious and sometimes not.
I made a mistake with the Busse Basic 9 so to be fair I tested it again on the side tang impacts. If I make a mistake during testing I will correct it. I figured some would see it as me being biased but it was the fair thing to do.
