khukuri weight as a weapon

Semp, I got out for 4 years in between while I was deputy in northern CA. Had to start all over. Didn't have to go through boot but, I might as well have so many things were changed and to me not to the good. I had a bit of a time readjusting to the Corps that second time. It seemed like so many things were childish to me. Not the troops but some of the things that we were supposed to do. Kind of like that PFT thing. Before I got out they ran with full field gear. What a suprise to see guys running in shorts and sneakers. No wonder some of them couldn't handle the heat in Nam.

Seems I couldn't keep from making comments about some of the junior officers that seemed so dumb to me. I guess I could have got higher than E-6 if I would have kept my mouth shut and got myself one of those brown rings around my nose, but I jsut wasn't raised that way.

I just haven't figured out how I got back in pretty much one piece. I reckon the lord had some thing else for me to do. Like help Mom raise 7 brats. For me there is a girl in California, 4 girls in TX, and 3 Boys in TX, 6 Khuks so far, 2 dogs, 2 turkeys, and one wonderful woman for good company. Can't get much better than that!

Semper Fi!!! :) :) :D ;)

Yes Sir Semp, I certainly do have them to count in abundance. I just haven't figured out how I earned what I have to be very thankful for.:)

That's something we need to do everyday. I can't figure out why I've been as lucky (?) as I've been but I'm sure grateful.
