Kifaru Woobie

J Williams,

I spoke with Angie at Kifaru the other day and I'm suggesting a new product for their line. I'll have to keep you guys posted. They're hunting line has some pretty cool gear and some more coming.

Not ready to say just yet. We'll see but I'll keep you guys posted once I hear.

whoa! whoa! new Kifaru gear! I've been thinking they should make a field jacket/liner out of thier woobie material, and a packable balaclava

Can't wait for the review. If you don't mind, would you compare/contrast with the GI model as far as packability and warmth?

Thanks!

The cho-liner is one of my favorite pieces of gear. I take it everywhere. I just have the regular one, which I bought in AIT in the mid-90's, and it's still going strong.

Congrats on the Kiraru woobie.

:D The woobie is here! The woobie is here!!! :D

 Wow, its really nice. Its big too! Drapes really well, and is very well made. The attention to detail is awesome, and the material is super tough.

Im gonna take it to work tommarow, and use it on my bed instead of the normal fleece blanket I carry to and from work. I am gonna sleep with the window open, and see how warm it keeps me. Nothin like a gear test while im on the clock!;)

It packs down really well. I like how it isnt super compressed in the attatched stuff sack. I can tell it will fit in the pack nicely, conforming to an awkward shape.

Blows the GI poncho liner out of the water as far as fit and finish. This is an excellant piece of kit.

Looking forward to hearing how you like it to. By chance is it Green like the new handles on your knife are?

Bryan

Yes it is. 2 shades of green. OD on one side, foliage on the other. ;)

I like green. :o
