Yeah, I'm not so sure this is all good news. The TT members had a great opportunity before.

At least I could get one now . . . if I could afford it. :D

.

I agree, the people that had proxys probably would have got their KZ2 for less than $797, plus, the TT people are probably going to buy less if only one is at the special price. So nice going complainers, you get to pay more! I'll now only be buying one to match my TT blade, no use now in buying more than one....................

I also agree with this. WHat happened to no regrets? THis was an offer to reward the loyalty of the Test team members and now due to a bunch of whining we lose something we actually earned by way of time and investment.

I for one am sick and tired of the jealousy so apaprent by those that havent put in the time, effort and money complaining about those that have put in the effort to support this great company. Do you FNG's think that Busse and the knife world as a whole would be what it is today based soley off the one or two knives you use a year? Do you think Busse would have the biggest booth and take everyone to dinner every night of blade if Busse didnt have the cash flow from collectors? It has never been a case of those that have leaving out, and not welcoming the new. Rant off and rest deleted prior to posting.

Jerry, I wish you and your family the best and will pray for your family. If you need anything, just let me know.
Dan

Oh that would look so nice with my ASB.:thumbup:

Just in time for fall tree trimming to boot.:) Heck I'm even on the, "LIST" so I may have gas money left for the chainsaw.

I agree with extending the time of the ganza and opening it to all Busse customers. I appreciate the discount offered to the test team members, but does anyone really think that TT members buying a bunch of them in an exclusive ganza at a discount and flipping them is a good thing for Busse? In my mind, the whole purpose of the Test Team was to assist Jerry in making the finest Busse Khukri possible for a production model available to all. Giving us a discount on the LE model was a generous way of thanking the testers. I don't care that much for ganzas, but they are kind of a tradition around here. At least this one is open long enough for everyone to get a shot at this beauty. That's the way I see it.

Hello everyone:):)

Just wanted to let everyone know to check your e-mails today I had sent some e-mails before the changes of the LE KZ II.

If you have not gotten one from me please e-mail me at amy@bussecombat.com

Thank you,
Amy-0

Yeah .... spread the love around .... this way at least the none TT guys get to benefit and Jerry gets his margin from the none TT customers .... and we still get a good discount ..... so it's all good ....

Even though I don't know the exact price offered to the TT members,I
do know this for a fact; Not all TT members were trying to make a profit
off of this..... and cheers to you guys!

Honestly, I didn't see too much of a problem with it.. More people would have definitely got them for cheaper than $797-,and some of the TT would have made some profit.... But whatever...lol

I think the moral of this story is; Try like hell to get on the TT!:D

I can't wait to get one in my hands.....

BTW: If one of you TT members had not planned on getting one,but want
to sell me THAT ONE ;) PM me..

EDIT -
Just to make things clear; I'm fine with it either way...
Just as long as I get one... I'm fine with paying $797 to Jerry for that Beast!
Thanks!

First, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family I hope and pray that things get better all the way around.
Second, as long as I can keep my hubby from buying one first you have just made me a hero, Thanks! As for ganza's, once you get the hang of it (read VERY carefully the rules of the game) they are usually fun and it's kind of exciting to wait for the email or call saying that you've won so I do hope you don't stop doing them. The one's that Ive done have been under the old man's name since half of the time he has been at work or in bed already so we have learned to compensate for the time differences. One of these years Im going to give my hubby a trip to a knife show so that he can get in on some of these things that we apparently miss by being on the wrong side of the country. Now, I must go rob my piggy bank and see what I can come up with!

That's the farthest thing I've seen from no regrets in a long time!

. . . , but does anyone really think that TT members buying a bunch of them in an exclusive ganza at a discount and flipping them is a good thing for Busse?

Yes, I do, and here is why:

Busse knives are the best out there and they are also one of the most collectible knives around. If I buy a knife for, let's say $500 and a short time later a "flipper" sells that exact same knife on the secondary market for $600 that benefits me. Why? Because the value of my knife went up. Then I realize that I can buy more and their value will go up as well. Suddenly, these become very "collectible" just like stamps and coins and whatever else tickles your fancy. Sure there is a passion for the knives involved but that wouldn't mean a thing if every time you bought a knife it instantly decreased in value. All of that is thanks to the sale of the knife on the secondary market, by a "flipper". This, in turn, benefits Busse as a company and brings in more revenue.

It's basic economics. If you think that having one or two users is keeping Busse as big as it is then you're fooling yourself.

I would love to buy one of these kuks.
The only problem I have is $$$ therefore I buy cheaper stuff like the SAR3 :D

LOL!!!! The one and only thing you are sad about is losing out on easy money!

Busse is rewarding you by letting you buy 1 at a discount. You seem to confuse jealousy with stupidity. Just like you pointed out in previous posts who says you deserve anything?

flipper.............

LOL!!!! The one and only thing you are pissed about is losing out on easy money!

I'm not mad about losing on easy money. Heck, I'm not mad about anything. So is that directed at Randucci then?

I am not an original test team member and would not have been able to get a bunch of them at a great price. I'm just sick of the ignorance that people have thinking that Busse knives should not sell for more than original sticker on the secondary market.

The rest isn't worth my breath . . .
