After a mighty sweep of the Blues, and I'm not foreseeing Phoenix as much of a problem, I hope, man I think the Kings have a real chance this year. Kings vs Caps perhaps? Anyone else have some predictions? Let's hear em.

GO KINGS GO!!!!

They just might win it. Who saw this coming? Not me. I was so glad they beat Vancuver. Quick is playing awesome, if they do win I hope he brings the cup to UMASS. Don't under estimate the Yotes tho, Mike Smith and Shane Doane are playing well. I'm saying KINGS V RANGERS. Caps bounced my Bruins, boo Caps.

Ya, Smith worries me with our somewhat lack of offensive prowes. Should be a good rest of the series.

GO KINGS GO

I think Rangers will win the East and whichever team from the West makes it to the finals will take it pretty easily.

Kings could definitely be that team. If Phoenix beats Nashville and the Kings do indeed meet the Rangers, that would be a storybook playoff run: beat the #1 West team (Vancouver), beat #2 (St. Louis), beat #3 (Phoenix), beat #1 in the East (Rangers). Strictly talking seeding, that's the hardest possible path to the Cup.

At this point anyone can beat anyone. Kopitar and brown plus quick = wins

Quick is playing lights out, Richards was a super pickup and Brown is really stepping up. Really the whole team is just in the zone, and can't forget Drew, friggin beast!

Ya the path there taking is pretty incredible considering just who were talking about.

Wagers??

As a Blues fan I'm rooting for the Kings, but don't put the cart before the horse. I wouldn't count out Nashville until the series is over. When coming into the playoffs the two teams I didn't want the Blues to face is #1 Nashville, and #2 L.A.
I was shocked that the Kings didn't finish 3rd in the standings. The only thing that shocked me about the Kings was getting in at #8, them winning like they are really isn't a shock considering they were the favorites to make the finals and possibly win it all at the begining of the season.

The Blues choked on their undisciplned play, and that's not a slight against L.A. at all. The Kings played a perfect series and got into the Blues heads. Congrats and good luck.

Well said Mountain, I knownim getting a little excited and there are some really good teams left, just letting my foolish heart talk.

Kings V coyotes game 2 coming up. Go kings. Wait I bet against them. Go rangers. Seriously tho go kings. I don't care if I lose a knife.

This is gonna be good. Hope I don't crash listening to the radio on the way home now!

GO KINGS GO!!

You may be right but I'm not so sure. The run has been fantastic but they haven't really been tested yet.
It takes a lot of grit and determination to win the cup. Do they have it? Perhaps they do. We'll see. It should be a wild final.

Not sure if I agree with the not tested yet remark. Just becomes they only lost one so far, and have steamrolled the rest, maybe there passing the test and the others are failing it? :)

Kings just won't lose. I can't recall a better play off run than this.

Found this list searching. It's been about 35 years since a team won the cup with one or fewer losses in the playoffs. Also note the most wins needed in every case was 12 or less, while now you need 16. Only one team won 16 with two losses, the '87-88 Oilers, going 16-2-1

Interesting, hopefully the Kings will end up on that list, so it's been a long time since a team had gone on a tear like this, a number eight beating mightily I might add the number one seed, sweating the two and on the verge of sweeping three, come on, give some credit where it's due for once. I bet even if and when they do win it all it will be all about how everyone else sucked and they just cruised to the cup, happens all time with La based teams, at least IMHO.

I strongly disagree that they haven't been tested. Vancouver and St Louis were really good teams. They made it look easy. In the modern age that requires 16 wins and in the salary cap construct, what the kings are doing is very impressive.
