Here's the list for KITH2005. If you posted your interest in doing it this year but neglected to send me an email, do so NOW, or you miss out. Or, if you emailed me and somehow I didn't get it, get in touch with me. If you followed the proper steps, your name will be on the list below. If your name isn't there, a mistake was made and get in touch with me ASAP so we can fix it!

Note: this is NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT the final list for the drawing. This is simply the names of people who emailed me and wanted to do the trade this year. In a few days once the people who joined and don't want to do it anymore or thought they joined and aren't on the list get hashed out, then I will randmize the list and email it to everyone so you know where your knife is coming from and where your knife is going. So, this is just a confirmation to make sure you made it on the list, NOT the final trade arrangment, got it?!

That's 25 participants. We had one drop out already, but he's a great knifemaker so I told him if he wants back in to just drop me an email and he's in. If he does and someone receives his knife they'll be glad! So, there's a list. Make sure you're on it and if you aren't get in touch with me ASAP.

This is pretty exciting. I'll be nervous making a knife for this. Hope I can measure up with these fine knifemakers. :D
Scott

Well Crap, I thought today was the day of the name drawing. I guess I'll find out when I get back from Trackrock :(

Sorry, Mark. It's a lot easier to delay it a couple days than to get the list and have to change it everytime someone wants out or meant to get in and didn't get an email to me or whatever. Also, check your email, guys. We have to decide whether everyone gets the full list and knows who is sending and receiving knives from who or whether we just want to know who we're sending the knife to so what you get is a surprise.

As far as the full disclosure or not makes me no nevermind. That means I dont care and will be happy with the majority vote. If no one cares just post the full list so we can make fun and poke at each other.

Looks like it would be more exciting if you didn't know who was getting your blade and who's blade you were getting till everyone had their knife finished up!

Hey Chiro,

I sent you another email, my name didn't make it on the list. Also, if you guys still want me to put the page together let me know.

Thanks
Jared

just like you said, Steve....:p

:footinmou

I'd rather not know who's getting mine, or who mine is coming from until after I finish. I might give up if I have to make a knife that Dan Gray will like..... :D :p  j/k.... :footinmou

I guess if it makes it easier for you, Steve....do whatever makes sense for the whole group - in terms of being able to properly manage the list.

I'd rather not know who is getting my knife or know who's I'll get.

speaking as a noobie...the pressure is on already, knowing my knife was going to one of these great makers

I like the idea of knowing who it's going to, that way I can cater the blade to the person. Either way will work for me though. :D

I love to poke yes yes what he said :D

I like to see nervous knife makers,, it keeps their coffee grounds from settling. :D :D

Jared, I'm still not getting any email from you. You doing the website would be great! I've emailed the email address in your profile, so try replying to it and see what happens.

I sent you an email Chiro but I'll post it here too.

It doesn't matter much to me as far as how the list is handled. Last year worked out pretty well with everyone knowing who's knife was going to who, but a surprise could be fun too. So I'll leave it up to everyone else.

Okay, that's that. Jared P is added to the list and all is well. If anyone else comes out of the woodwork, except for the one guy I mentioned, then they'll have to wait until next year. Sorry!

It seems like the majority who've voiced their opinions want the full list, which allows you to know who everyone is sending their knife to and who everyone is receiving their knife from. I can appreciate people who like surprises, though, so check your email for what I'll do concerning the final list.

re: website

Do we need to take pics of our knife before we send it?

My opinion Daniel...if you have the ability to take a picture before you ship it I think that would be the best...

Jared

Let the poking begin.
Mark, How about I just send you a bar of steel and a hunk of wood and you make your own knife? :D

Nowiki, I've got my  on you. Lot's of this :D :D :D
None of this :barf:  :p please.

Fair enough?
Mace
