I'd be more worried about the wifey discovering I used a perfectly good towel as a spark arrestor. She may take that towel and wrap a bar of soap in it and flogg the side of your head with it.

I figured my wife would get mad about that too, so I bought a toaster oven specifically for tempering.

She then got upset that I had a nicer toaster oven in my shop than she did on the kitchen counter... haha

This. I almost burned my shop down with something that ignited from flying sparks 20 minutes after the sparks stopped....

Heck, I get in trouble just using the hand towel in the bathroom after washing my hands. Seems like they get pretty dirty when I'm around. For some time now, I'm supposed to only use the dark colored ones (to dry my hands with, that is).
