Knife #20 - New Concepts/Learning Process

Really nice......actually, really,really nice.

Hahaha... yeah, that's what I meant to say. ;)
Only thing missing is a wicked-cool blood-groove. :p

Thanks everyone for making me feel better about it. Sometimes hanging out here seems like I'm surrounded by masters who settle for nothing less than perfection... makes it easy for me to feel like the short-bus kid eating play-dough in the corner. (No offense intended to those who have ever ridden a short bus or eaten play-dough).

On a side note: what type of sheath/scabbard/saya would y'all recommend for such a small blade? Wood, while traditional, seems a bit cumbersome for carry. Leather (at least the leather that I make) doesn't seem to fit the style of knife. I'm actually thinking about some sort of kydex... though I've never worked with it. Any thoughts?

Ok,so not to sound mean, but that thing is too damn nice to get kydex. Personally i think it needs a wood saya, or at least a simple leather sheath, kydex just doesnt seem fitting to me....my 2 cents....

I agree with Mike. I would think a stabilized Thuya sheath would look pretty darned nice :). If wood isn't an option, perhaps a leather clad sheath or just a simple leather rig.

Nathan, you may just have given me an idea. I'll have to see whether I have some of that block of thuya left. ;)
