Knife and Gun Club

Scott I really like this combo a lot. I'm in the market for a holster for my little Ruger. How do you like yours? Who is the maker? Thanks
Flat, I have both black & brown in the Don Hume J.I.T. Slide. Gun rides nice & stays secure, even with jogging-occassionally the Bloodhound breaks into a sprint. Summertime, a tee shirt untucked keeps it covered. SP-101 front sight has had the serrations ground off, and a centerline scribed, then painted white after it was re-blued. Action has been tuned, and the trigger shaved & polished. I know how Sandy Garrett was awarded "Pistolsmith of the Year" in 1998. All my wheel guns make the trip to his shop.

Don Hume makes some good leather. I was just telling Fritz I think I'm going to go with SOB or Inside the Pocket for the Ruger. Since its hammerless I'm probably looking for something with a tension screw.

Good thread everyone.

Scott, I see you sent your Para out for extras. I like the SS accents on a Black gun. Did the makeover improve its shootability?

Darn, You guys have some nice knives ! Inverted 124 stamp, stag 124 and a 3V-2v one line 110 . Great photos . Thanks for posting them ! DM

I picked it up from a cash-strapped guy as pictured(holster too)....and it functions flawlessly. I prefer this 4" over a 5" for concealed carry, and it groups well with 226gr & 230 gr hardball @30 feet.

My EDC S&W 296 5-shot .44 Special, 200gr Gold Dots, Mika pocket holster, and Buck Custom Shop 110 in orange Fiji-wood, nickel silver bolsters, and BG-42 blade (Ah, the good old days - it was $84!).

Preston,

I really like the theme here. Lever action, 45 Colt, Stag handles on a fur rug.
Makes a fella dream of being a Mountian man. :)
