Added the Burris scope today, removed the ammo sleave and swaped slings for an old Hunter leather one off eBay that I had laying around. Scope was a takeoff too on a shelf waiting for a job. I think I may have a good little plinker/varmint rifle. This is what Pack Rat uses to kill those young pigs on his ranch I believe. Should be fun.

Here are a few less current items.

1. Pre WWII Walther PPK
2. First year 1903 Colt Pocket Auto Serial #1154
3. Barrel Nut 120.
All but the 120 still shoot.
Telechronos![]()
I took the flash suppressor off. Might have missed a follow up shot a little before dark because of it. Havent used it since I took it off. So will see.
Why did you take yours off? I missed the reason. I like the way mine looks but mostly I think its good to have for barrel down floorboard riding in the truck. Which as a ranch gun seems like the natural thing for it. I don't have that ole gun rack up here in Maine. Well I don't have a pickup truck either.![]()

This is a Colt Targetsman .22 that was my grandmother's. Also a Buck 110 FG Damascus with Mammoth Bone Scales.

Is a suppressor/compensator. Seemed to have thrown the flash upwards and in a cloud of powder, instead of forward and down. Had three hogs. One went down, couldn't get back on the others.
So will try it with it off and see if there is any diff.
Except for that, I liked it on there like you said.
Larry, I was just looking at the suppressor and noted that there are six holes serving porting I suppose just behind the suppressor. That would explain the exhaust going up.
I wonder if the suppresser can be positioned 180 degrees so the six holes are venting down instead of up?
I'm guessing you'll have to fish out your suppressor for a look. I've got a lunch meeting tomorrow with someone who may know. I'll try to remember to ask him.
Hi G,
I'm sure the flash suppresser could be installed upside down. However, it would be counter productive as the suppressers job is to vent the gas up to help keep the barrel from kicking up. Put the vent's down and the gas will push the barrel up and that may also make fast follow up shots a problem!

You know John that's pretty obvious. I'll have to give myself a big Duh on my question/comment. I was just thinking of Larry's flash/smoke problem.
