Knife and Gun Club

Added the Burris scope today, removed the ammo sleave and swaped slings for an old Hunter leather one off eBay that I had laying around. Scope was a takeoff too on a shelf waiting for a job. I think I may have a good little plinker/varmint rifle. This is what Pack Rat uses to kill those young pigs on his ranch I believe. Should be fun.

Telechronos:):):)

Yup Flats, but we doan discriminate agin youngins and olduns. All fair game, and this one will do them all.

I really like the wood on yours.
Maybe one of these days I will strip my wood and see what is under there.

I pimped the Mini out with this stock. Might be a tad lighter and the short armed granddaughter can adjust it to fit. Well, ok, me too. I took the flash suppressor off. Might have missed a follow up shot a little before dark because of it. Havent used it since I took it off. So will see.

So naturally had to stick in a pigsticker since we are talking pigs.

The two 110's used to be workman models that I believe both are rebladed. One is an Idaho, and one is a +.

The pistol goes along for the ride.

and I did the pimping on the XDm9. I think I will leave the XDm40 alone.

Why did you take yours off? I missed the reason. I like the way mine looks but mostly I think its good to have for barrel down floorboard riding in the truck. Which as a ranch gun seems like the natural thing for it. I don't have that ole gun rack up here in Maine. Well I don't have a pickup truck either. ;);)

Is a suppressor/compensator. Seemed to have thrown the flash upwards and in a cloud of powder, instead of forward and down. Had three hogs. One went down, couldn't get back on the others.
So will try it with it off and see if there is any diff.

Except for that, I liked it on there like you said.

Larry, I was just looking at the suppressor and noted that there are six holes serving porting I suppose just behind the suppressor. That would explain the exhaust going up.

I wonder if the suppresser can be positioned 180 degrees so the six holes are venting down instead of up?

I'm guessing you'll have to fish out your suppressor for a look. I've got a lunch meeting tomorrow with someone who may know. I'll try to remember to ask him.

Hi G,

I'm sure the flash suppresser could be installed upside down. However, it would be counter productive as the suppressers job is to vent the gas up to help keep the barrel from kicking up. Put the vent's down and the gas will push the barrel up and that may also make fast follow up shots a problem!

You know John that's pretty obvious. I'll have to give myself a big Duh on my question/comment. I was just thinking of Larry's flash/smoke problem.

That's easy! Switch the selector to full auto and sweep them piggy's, with a little practice Ratty can do it from the hip :p:thumbup:

Today's Walking About Package:
That's a fine Jack Rudder sheath for my 110 by the way.
All that seems like a lot but it just melts away into your pockets.
Shown are my current favorite two Bucks, favorite Sypdie, and favorite BM. I can't decide on just one or two so I carry them all. My wife thinks me funny in this regard.
