I used to wear G Shock watch a long time ago before cell phones were in your pocket. After buying my son one this last Christmas Im thinking I would like another.

What model would you guys recommend that isnt too pricey. I know the Mud Man is tops, but more than I want to spend

You only live once. Go for the Mudman. It’s what you really want, you are worth it.

The Casio G Shock 5600 series are around $50. Likely the most popular of all the G Shocks.

I've been very happy with this GA-800. It was only my second G-Shock but I liked it enough that I stopped shopping for more. I've had it about 3 years. It's not Solar or Atomic but it's been a great watch and reasonably priced. Easy to read at a glance too.
