Knife and Watch combo. Let's see them!

Haven't checked in on this thread in a while. I still wear the Planet Ocean as my main watch, but I did recently pick up one of the new 38mm Seiko 5KX's. It was my first watch purchase since I sold off the majority of my collection a couple of years ago, but y'all know I just couldn't resist the teal dial ;) . I tested my patience and waited 3 weeks for delivery so I could get the Japan version. Unfortunately my aging eyes can no longer make out the made in Japan print on the bottom of the dial 🤣, but the day wheel in Japanese is certainly a nice touch.

Can't remember if I've posted this one before, but certainly not on this strap. It's a ultra-thin little Omega hand-winder, happens to be birth-year for me, and though it was intended as a dress watch it serves as my around the house watch for the most part. I think I picked it up back in the day for $45 or something.

Another 1976 Omega, and my favorite watch

The old Turtle (reissue) still gets plenty of love well

And a G-Shock in the rotation is always necessary, and in fact used daily as my coffee timer

Too bad I sold my 1976 Moonwatch a couple of years ago...

OUCH! Yeah, that would be a dream watch for me. I remember always being amazed by your collection when I used to frequent WUS.

It was really getting into birth year watches that made me realize how much enjoyment for the money I could get from vintage, and that is what compelled me to sell off the majority of my modern/Swiss collection and go with the 2500D PO as the "one".

In WUS Nima007 got the moonwatch so maybe he can point you to who he sold it to if it’s your birth year. It was in great shape. The Planet Ocean 2500 is a classic. I miss both of my POLMLE and my Ti LM Planet Ocean 8500.

But with a Hulk, an SD43 red text, and two DSSD James Cameron I didn’t feel the need to keep most of my Omega divers; although I still have the Planet Ocean LM Ti chronograph and Seamaster Pro ceramic chronograph, the the WatchCo SM300 and a Seamaster Pro Bond Quartz that’s my son’s birth year (my son has a matching Bond with a close-by serial number).

I had 2 vintage Seamaster birth year watches and gave the gold capped automatic to new my son-in-law for the wedding last year. Still have the SS 1962 manual wind Seamaster.

For non divers I still have the Grey aside of the Moon but it’s for sale, unless I sell my Pepsi GMT II 126710 first, and my X-33 Solar Impulse.
