Knife authenticity

Does this Sebenza 25 look authentic to you? It dose to me but I'm no expert

A very important detail when it come to the authenticity of a knife is- who is the seller.

Counterfeiters have gotten very good. They will even copy paperwork and packaging. I'd say, buying from a reputable dealer, or trusted member of this forum who bought from a reputable dealer, is the best way to avoid fakes.

It's a minefield of fakes out there. You've got to tread carefully.
 
I am no expert, but nothing in those pics make me wonder. What is making you question the authenticity of the knife? Is there a date stamped inside the sides?
 
I don't know if they changed the lockup on the 25, but it seems early for a sebenza. One big red flag is the price. If it looks to good to be true then it probably is.
 
So there's my question. Does anyone here know of a fake Seb with letter/number stamp? Or, is that a sure sign of a legitimate CRK? Thanks in advance for your answers.
 
I've never had a CRK but the one thing that I would bet you could tell with is the edge. CRK puts a slightly convex edge on their knives that I believe is pretty fine grit, so if the edge is corse and uneven or just V-ground that would probably be a good clue it's fake. This is how I have learned to tell fake Shiro's apart, which the counterfeiters have gotten scarily good at replicating.
 
Toughest call to date for me... I was going to say 100% real, but there are two tiny concerns/differences that slightly stick out to me that may be remedied by better pictures...

People here know there stuff, so if even one says fake, I would have hesitations ^^^^

Just noticed another glaring problem... Fake... But wow! That one had me for a while 😳
 
I spot five things in these pics, wish they were better that make me think this is a fake. 100% would say do not buy.
 
So, for us CRK newcomers. Could you please list those red flags in detail?

I'll say that it is the same fake 25 that we see all of the time. The crappy pictures are an attempt to disguise the issues.
 
tuica, generally speaking people won't post whats wrong with it publicly. They don't want to give any hints to the jokers making them. PM people if you want details.
 
Based on all the pics I've seen this is a fake. Use google images, you'll start to see the differences
