A simple and easy solution. These are clawed Buckaroo Pouches. The tether end is split and that is looped back on a belt loop. Drop your knife in the pouch and then into your pocket. Need your knife pull on the tether, it comes right out from your pocket. Works on any pocket and I've even seen guys carry these IWB. We make em but so do many other folks.

Got to go now but I'll see if I can find ya some picsof em being used.
My wife makes these and I can tell you we sell a bunch of em. We kinda got the pattern down and the leathers to use. The body is mnade from water buffalo. We tested this leather for months on this deal and its worked well. The tether part is a heavier but very flexible oiltan.Yours are better than the one I have which is a bit small with too short a leash/tether. Going to have to hit your site to rectify that.

If back pocket and clipped keep spine of blade toward seam of pocket. Tends to be opposite than normal strong side carry.Carry in your back pocket or IWB. I carry mostly in my back pocket, but careful sitting on leather seats or you can scratch/gouge them with the clip.
If you carry it exclusively in a slip I wouldn't do it. If you carry it loose in pocket I would; especially if there is any chance that the knife opens unusually easily. I have had a knife open in my pocket from snagging on my pocket handkerchief and the tip was all the way down in the handle but not far enough and the hanky snagged the point and pulled it out. Granted it was one of them dambed new fangled thumb stud opening abominations (opens with less force).Other question is..would you do it...or just use as is...I plan on using the knife..
I should have mentioned that my back pocket carry is tip down if it allows. Usually does since I only carry Spyderco folders. That allows spine to be against outside seam of pocketIf back pocket and clipped keep spine of blade toward seam of pocket. Tends to be opposite than normal strong side carry.
I had a 710 in my back pocket with spine of blade toward center of pocket and it opened :
wish I could find my original post but this refers to it (ignore some of my banter/attempt at humor there )

You can see the slit in the...
So I am wondering if you are in a situation where you absolutely positively cannot lose your knife, is a belt sheath maybe the best option?

I recently got one of these for a Buck Saunter 250- it fits well and the pouch is very nice. A very simple, but great idea. I think if more folks knew about them, they would buy them.Damn cool....
Think I'm gonna have to visit for one of each size...![]()
