I'm not new to knives but I recently got into survival type fixed blades and can't quit. It all started with my first Bravo 1 and has QUICKLY lead to a Bravo 1.25, Benchmade 162, a few Survive! knives and a Busse "Axe Hammer". I am really digging the Survive! stuff. Is it like this for everybody? I hope I can get a handle on it before I need to have an intervention. :)

Interventions don't help, having lots of money does! lol Trust me, if you're deep in the game, you'll figure out how to score your next blade! The goal is to have fun trying different blades out! Besides, this place is not going to help your addiction either....

Yep, I’ve pretty much got all the folders I want(for now) and I’m looking at fixed blades. I have a Mora that is great but the Buck 679 is what I’ve been eyeing lately. My life is now(thankfully) pretty boring and easy so I have no need for 99% of the knives I own but they’re fun to play with.

So I say, embrace your addiction.

Much healthier than crack unless you cut yourself really bad !

Knife collecting is somewhat like crack...

In some places, cops would rather you not have it on you; Some family members frown upon "knife users"; At times you'll forego something you need in order to buy a knife...

But unlike crack, the health effects are mimimal; You can still sell your knife after you've used it; And it won't show up in a drug screen, keeping you from getting that fat-stack position at work.

Next step is to sell the Bravo and 1.25, and replace them with their respective -LTs.
Screw Survive... go with CPK. You'll also want a puukko from Malanika.

Yes!
I like Survive! and the Bravo series but, both Nathan's Field Knife and his EDC blade should be on your list.

Im at the point where I start scoping out my next blade before the one I ordered/traded for even arrives. I need a fix to tide me over between fixes.

Wow i don't feel so bad now. I thought I was the only one. :) December is pretty much scoped out unless some unexpected dealer exclusive shines on. Hard part is getting to the mailbox before the wife does. I also hide my knives all over......

I would normally think I need help but nah I can quit anytime.....

Anything that repeatedly acts as impetus for those neurotransmitters to have their 4th of July fireworks to give you a copious amount of dopamine high, is an addictive force. However the degree of the addiction is as always as individualistic as you and what hole you manage to succumb yourself into. Judging by some of the very excessive behavior which I see going on here, I can let out a sigh of relief because my own knife addiction seems to be firmly under control :D

Hey Corey,

Out of all of those, which three get the most carry time?
I've carried several of them a few times, but out of that batch there's really only 2 that I carry quite often...ZT 0450 and a small Sebenza. Out of my Benchmades, I typically carry a 940 or mini grip. Most of the others rarely get any pocket time.
