Not a fan of 404 Errors, myself. :D

You might want to double check that link! Or just post a picture and not send us off to who-knows-where on the internet.

I would have some reservations about having such an abrupt, steep thumb ramp as it makes choking up on top a bit difficult. Is this a fighter or?

I also noticed in your most recent picture, the bottom blade has a recurve while the top does not. I am a sucker for recurves.

One more thing, I dig the angled pommel on the end. It looks like a good shelf for the thumb when in reverse grip.

Looks like its got potential to be a neat fighter. I would make it slightly "curvier" though. I'll see if I can draw up what I mean.

Well it is suppose to be usefull in as many situations as possible for combat hunting or survival it's only suppose to work for these while having a nice look I'm going to ask my friend to help me make it by that ask if he will make it with provided desighn lol

IMO knives should drop below the handle for most control and usefulness, as in most kitchen/chef's knives, drop points, hunters, skinners, etc...

Having that steep thumb ramp rising above the handle as you have shown actually limits control and usefulness for anything but underhand thrusting motions... Which is a very small portion of any knife's use, even a fighter...

I know its a popular stylistic feature as Spyderco have made it that way, but in my view its more making a fashion out of the fact they needed the bump to make room for the hole opener... In other words we need this so lets make it a "feature" rather than it actually being a benefit in function.

Could be the basis for a Gil Hibben fantasy blade. Just cut some holes in the blade, and saw teeth on the top :D

I like it some seriouse reforms are in order I will Chang it until I get it right but so we r clear recurve is good for "tactical applications?"

That's just how I would change it. It will be your knife so change it to your preferences but feel free to use anything from my sketch. As for the recurve, everyone has different opinions but it is better for slashing/slicing. It works almost like one big serration- it feeds the material into the cutting edge. I think for your original design, I like the recurve better.

I think Rapt_up nailed it. I applaud the effort, but it shows you need to spend some serious time using knives before designing them. Its a common pitfall.

Go out and use some knives "...in as many situations as possible for combat hunting or survival" and give it another shot! I look forward to seeing it!

They aren't suppose to be massive maybe like a 6in blade or 5.5
More like a field knife. Sorta small but can stand up to big tasks
