Knife concept

I redisigned the Handel so it's lighter and the blade is little heavier now the thumb ramp is gone... Jumping stays, I kept the recurve and the drop point the blade is lower than the handle for ease of use. It lost its "tactability" now just hopefully a good utility maybe have at the camp knife. Or maybe on the compound. I think it can cover a large spectrum of tasks.
Can I get your opinion. I started with knives sence I was fourteen I'm now almost 16. Besides small folders I've had all my life. Shocker hey

Not bad. Not sure what the recurve is supposed to accomplish or how you are supposed to sharpen the edge near the guard...

You going flat. convex, or hollow sabre grind? What steel are you thinking of?

I was thinking saber grind 1055 or 1075 carbon steel. The curve can be sharpened wit a round tool. It's deeper than what I was looking for some minor tweaks are in order

And why those steels? They don't have great edge retention (especially 1055!). They are tough, but that knife really doesn't look big enough to be a chopper/basher.

And what kind of sabre grind?

Well it comes in handy with my cs kukri machete and I've noticed it feeds things into the edge better in my experience such as rope twigs ext.

Well I was thinking that steel because if I need to use it for something I want to not regret my more than Likley over 100 dollar finance. I feel like they hold better than 8cr13mov or 420hc like buck uses.so it's stronger and may or may not hold an edge well.

In my buck bantam it lost its edge fairly fast but was easy enough to sharpen I put them equal from carbon to stainless world. Price is an issue to that's why I chose those steels
