Knife Disease: "I can't Wait"-itis

I'm going through it now! I always end up calling the post office the morning it gets there and ask to pick up. Those last few hours are the worst

My favorite is when I get home and there is a USPS note on my door, even though I left a message on my door to please just leave it because no one is at home. They usually leave it like i ask, but when I get the note I have to get some one to get it for me because I can never get it during the week and Saturdays are iffy at best! Because of this, I have waited over a week for a knife that I knew was only a coupe of miles away sitting on a shelf at the PO........

My mailmen are awesome but my home post office BLOWS. Check out this yelp link on said office: http://www.yelp.com/biz/us-post-office-colma-daly-city

Sad thing is, there is a big nice post office that is closer to my house but my zip code has me in with the very crappy one. If I get a package slip, I'm screwed, they are open like 2 hours a day lol with a lunch in between. Closed on Saturdays too.

My drop off office is great. Tampa International has a PO open till 11:59pm. My pick up is open from 9:30a to 4p M-F, and till 12:30p on Saturdays. And I've got The Itis over a Rodent Rucki right now. Still checking my email every 5 minutes for a ship notice.

Reading this thread is a sigh of relief, tomorrows mail is bringing me a BM 940,griptillian and a Spydie police.....I'm currently camping in the bushes waiting to jump on the mailman like Garfield

I know the feeling dborg, I got a blacked out SnG coming from the north. I keep an eye on the tracking, soon as it arrives at the post office, I go there and pick it up so I don't have to wait a second longer.

Remedies must be added and alternated, like : beer, beer, beer - empty the drawers, clean them all, sharpen them all - beer, beer, beer - plot the next buy - consider choosing your EDC for tomorrow - plot again - beer again - consider all those knives you haven't used for a long time, re-discover, select one - use it, enjoy it, clean it, put it back in the drawer - beer, beer, beer... oh joy the parcel is here. Control the hangover to sign where needed and rejoice. And start saving because you ordered the next one and it's not a cheapy. Life is just splendid !

"I can't wait" -itis sounds like it can apply elsewhere in life. Does anyone think that this could happen to someone wishing to attend his/her first knife show? Perhaps a particular knife show? Say, somewhere around Atlanta?

:)

Wait a minute, you mean there is going to be some kind of knife show in Atlanta? :):):)
