Knife display,storing

I found 3 of these things at the thrift store for 3 bucks a pop
(if anyone knows what these are supposed to be used for let me now...I'm thinking maybe some dinner/silverware..steak knives??)
I use them for my fixed blades
For my small pocketknives I found a couple walnut, closing glass top ones for around 15-20 bucks a piece on ebay (I think they may be for Zippo lighters or shot glasses)
For my neck knives I got a cheap tourist brass keychain plate/holder that says CANADA that my mom gave to me when she got back from Ottawa :barf:
I don't know what I'm gonna do about my hatchets
I might build something with walnut and wooden dowels...kinda like a wooden coat rack
I also use wooden cigar boxes with the grooved sliding top and Jimmy Beam and/or Jack Daniels "tins"....The long ones that hold 750ml bottles...I'm keeping my eye out for a nice vintage Winchester wooden ammo box with lid to store all the smaller boxes/display cases/whiskey tins

I have used Gerstner chests in the past. Just recently bought an oak 30 drawer library card catalog. Works great. Felt lined the bottom of the drawers and it will probably last my lifetime.

Most of my good knives are stored in Bills 6 and 12 packs in the safe. The straight knives and the EDCs are stored in a Gerstner chest. A few get put in shadow boxes and put on display.

Bastid,do you store them boxed in that Tomway? Is the pharmacy shelf glass enclosed?

The Tomway box just holds the knives and sits in a safe. The knives are cushioned.

That pharmacy shelf which holds the knives I use rather than collect has glass doors on each shelf that tilt up and slide back into the the case below the shelf (or top) above the area being accessed. That is in my den. I figure if a thief can get by ADT, Jonah (110 lbs of nothing but muscle) and Phaedra (his 75 lb sidekick) they deserve the knives in that case :D. They are good natured dogs, but quite protective.

I also love Bills cases and use one of his "Duffels" that hold 9 six packs. That sits in the safe also.
