Knife for Coin Pocket Carry

Wow Railsplitter, I've never seen such a massive watch pocket!
The leather pad protecting the seams would also save me some money on pants.
My watch pockets only hold traditional slipjoints.

Yeah they're pretty big. I always used to have a problem with the vertical carry that my Levi's watch pockets required. I found it annoying that the knife would dig into my waist when I bent over or sat down. The horizontal carry eliminates that problem and the knife is a lot less likely to slide out of the pocket when resting horizontally at the bottom.

It's a bit off topic but the Wrangler Riggs cost a little less than Levi's and they are surprisingly durable. I get about 20-24 months of wear out of them and even then the only reason I get new ones is because the old ones have faded too much for my liking. They are also more comfortable than Levi's. I was never really a Wrangler jean type of guy. Didn't like them until I stumbled onto these Riggs.

I suppose I should add that I am not affiliated with Wrangler in any way other than the fact that I wear them.:)

Boker Rhino Calf, but then, I'm a Wharncliffe fanboy.

Boker Gnome would fit, probably flop out the top a little. Add a lanyard, good to go. I might also add a clip at the right height to keep it clipped to the watch pocket. With a strong clip and a lanyard, you might be able to draw the Gnome faster than you could deploy a folder.

Krein Dogfish, by CRKT. Watch this one, it's kind of long for that pocket, and I would get an aftermarket sheath. The original on mine started getting loose.

Duh. Forgot Ritter RSK and Simonich Bitter Root.

I carry my Jared Price "Watch Pocket" Friction Folder. Perfect!

I just bought an A.G Russell 3.0 Titanium Lockback for exactly this reason, and it works great. It comes with a little leather pouch which fits perfectly into my watch (/coin/lighter/whatever you feel like calling it) pocket

Blade-tech Mouse. Can't take a photo, because my girlfriend took it from me :/ it fits perfectly into the coin pocket of Levi's 501 jeans.

In the coin pocket of my 501 Levi's I carry one of the following:
*Benchmade Mini Griptilian (clipless)
Spyderco Caly 3 (clipped)
*Spyderco Ladybug
Microtech UTX-70

* = favourites

In my more "dressed up" jeans, the pocket is smaller, so it'll only hold the Ladybug or Microtech without having the knife stick out a little.

This one on weekends.

Carried a BM 3100 Auto Levitator for a few years in my coin pocket before getting a Small Sebenza 21 (carry in a calfskin pocket sheath in main pocket).

I'll put another vote for the Spyderco Dragonfly. I have a foliage green G10 Dragonfly 2 and love it. Great for many cutting tasks around the home/office and doesn't intimidate anyone. It's a fantastic slicer.

If I had to pick one knife for most of my cutting tasks, the Dragonfly would be it. Having it fit in the coin pocket is a bonus :0)

looks like an alox minichamp, could probably find more info on Swiss Bianco's forum.

trashboss, what is that carbon fiber lockback? looks familiar but I can't recall what it is

Strider PT-CC works for me.

I have a few that I like to carry in the coin/watch pocket from time to time, which include: Spyderco Grasshopper, Spyderco Kiwi 3, Spyderco Dragonfly 2, Buck 55, Buck 379 Solo, Fallkniven U2, Case Sway Back Gent. The Vic Rambler lives on my keyring.

Hardheart, the carbon fiber lockback is an old SOG,.sorry dont rember the model # or name. The other carbon fiber knife to the right of it is a Fellhoelter friction folder. The Spydies are both Ladybugs and the slipjoint is an old buck 310. I dont usually put anything bigger than these in my Cigarette Lighter Pocket.

I carry a CRKT Van Hoy Snap Lock 2. A little gimickey, but a decent knife for the size. Can't post a picture for whatever reason.
