Knife for the wife

The only knife my wife has ever liked the looks of is the 556 mini-grip in purple. Of course, I still need to show her some of the smaller Spydercos, like that green Jester.

My wife came in while I was surfin' for some new knives and I ran a few by her. The sapphire, mini grip, spydies'. She really liked the look of the Sapphire. That's a good thing because I ordered her one the day before :D .

Same here. Gotta' have a backup plan, right ;) .

The first knife I bought my wife was a Victorinox Camper because she liked the saw and the corkscrew (I'm not sure what that implies?), anyway, I have not seen it in years.

The second one I bought her was a Spyderco Delica which she liked very much...until she saw the Blue Delica at a knife/gun show.

So, she carried the Blue Delica for awhile until I bought her a Micarta Calypso Jr.--she really likes this one.

Later I bought her a Rainbow Leek.
She loved it but she still preferred to carry the Micarta Calypso Jr.

So, I thought the Calypso Jr would be the last knife for a long while.

But just last month I bought a Spyderco D'Alton Holder "Toad" for my father-in-law.
She saw it and fell in love.
I had to practically pry it from her hands so I could mail it to her father.

So now, I'm going to surprise her with another Toad for Valentine's Day (if I can still find one).

Good luck,
Allen.
