FreshFish. Welcome to the forums. You look like young dude, don't get discouraged there are alot of good people an info on here. Not everyone here is an a**hole.
Welcome to the forum.:thumbup:Yea...I figured I am a lot younger than most others on here. It just gets annoying when people are though, you know?
I wonder what you think of Rough Riders and Frost Cutlery knives?
People have different value systems. People have different levels of financial ability. Personally, I think it's good to have the Winchester knife rather than nothing at all. It is all about using and learning. A friend thinks my knives are really boring. To him he buys the cheaper knives and tosses them at trees and so forth. I would never let him toss one of my knives. Hence he doesn't see much of a use or need for the knives even though when we work together he sees me using my trusty SAK at least once a day.
Maybe a Buck 110 isn't his style. Plus, as iconic as they may be, they are pretty ugly looking.Winchester knives are usually what somebody carries who doesn't know much about knives....like somebody previously in this thread said, you should of picked up the Buck 110, it will last much longer than that winchester.
There have been times in my life I would have liked to have that knife in my pocket, just saying.![]()

A bit harsh, don't you think?
FreshFish. A big welcome to the forum from me as well. In order to learn about knives you have to start somewhere. Keep reading other posts on the forum as well as posting your own threads. Ask questions when you have them.
Send me your address and I will send you a knife. When you get it please post your opinion on the forum about the knife and ask others for their opinions as well and have a good time with it. If you are under 18 than please be honest and let me know and I will have to send it to your parents if that is ok with them. You will have fun with this and can learn alot.
Keep it up and have fun collecting and learning about knives.
As another new guy around here, glad to see that the thoughtfulness still exists from when I would lurk around here college
Freshfish, welcome. From one newbie to another
Freshfish,
Welcome to BFs, Its great that you have a interest in knives. You can learn a lot around here, just don't pay any attention those that are rude. Their mommies didn't teach them any manners.
As you grow you will find that different and maybe more expensive knives may interest you, maybe even those that look old fashioned, with wood & metal handles like the Buck 110
That was the first knife i purchased for myself when i was 15 y/o.
Stick around! We are glad to have you and we need new blood around here.
Thank you very much!I sent you a message and everything, can't wait to do a review on the knife...even though I'm still new doing reviews.
Thanks Hexa, it's nice to see another new person on the forums like me![]()
just a tip to save some time, the little text box icon with a + beside it that's to the right of the "reply with quote" button lets you put multiple quotes in one post. good luck with the knife hunting and reviews.I guess I can't really say I don't like those kinds of knives if I never had one...maybe I should get one![]()
