Here are a couple from the spring a few years ago, back when I still did black and white film photography. Someday I'd like to do some more, but I've decided for now a DSLR is my next important purchase. Anyway, that is quite a digression. Here are a couple pictures of one of the first flowers I found out in the Missouri River bluffs one year:
Spring means finally being able to enjoy the outdoors! Kid has been cooped up all winter. We had over 90 inches of snow this year so far, and it is supposed to snow a couple of inches tomorrow. It is time for some son!
Or outdoor weddings? (don't think I will have to be a best man for a while, all my friends are married now)
or maybe just cool waterfalls from all the winter snow melt off.
Just to get into the Springtime mood, I thought I'd post MY version of Spring. Don't blame me if the cat chooses it though. She knows where her sushi comes from!
This was shot a couple of years ago here in Kyoto. Give it another week to ten days and it should look like this again! The cherry trees (sakura) a just peeping out right now. I'm charging up all my camera batteries!
Well, it's Sunday night here (probably Sunday morning where you are,) and my wife and the cat sat down at the computer to look at the photos. There is no question about the fact that the cat was particularly drawn to Tony's mouse, but felt that she was being bribed to overtly. Being a cat she would have preferred something more sneaky. That said, my wife really loved lambertiana's field of yellow flowers and the old barn. The cat tried to say that my photo was best, but she was eyeing the bag of Purina as she said it, so we have to go with what my wife alone chose.
Lambertiana, if you will send me a mailing address to stitchawl@yahoo.com I'll get your new Japanese knife out to you ASAP. Congrats, and thanks to all who submitted photos. I wish I could afford to send you all new toys. Your ideas were great!
