Knife guessing game ( based on description ) now guessing fixed blades

Yikes! I don't think the knife I have in mind is very tough to spell, Steve, so I wonder if you're on the right track.

EDIT: While I was typing my response to afishhunter, JSCHENK submitted the correct answer (I didn't know what the cover materials are until his "entry").:thumbup:

Looking forward to your "identification challenge", JSCHENK!!

Can't spell that German city.

I've looked for ring openers before, they're not easy to find. Maybe now that I know the correct name it'll be easier to locate one. :) Thanks r8shell.

OK here goes...whether one gathers data or animals for a living, both have an occupation with the same name as this knife from Schrade.
Good luck, -James-

I'm gonna go with Wrangler (I think it's Schrade 93OT), although I had to google "Data Wrangler" to see if it made sense.

GT you're good. Wrangler it is. Schrades seem more well known by their numbers and I threw that "Data" in for a twist. The Wrangler is a great knife due to it's blade combination. Anyways since you guest correctly you're up.

I really like the clip/sheepsfoot combo, too, redsparrow. The 2015 Forum knife reminds me of a pen version of the Wrangler. Here's a photo of my Wrangler:

New "puzzle": European friction folder, single blade, wooden handle (usually scorched or painted with designs), long single bolster. Just need to come up with the pattern name.

Your thinking of the Taramundi! I have yet to get my hands on one, but it is on my list!
------
New Puzzle: This pattern has been known to have been confused with bacon on numerous occasions.

Ole'!! NJBillK is correct. I was looking for Taramundi, a knife native to northern Spain. Here's a photo of mine:

I like NJBillK's confidence! :D He was so sure he had it correct that he posed the next challenge immediately! I have an idea what he's after, but I'm going to just play at home, since it's too nerve-wracking to come up with another new puzzle if I happen to guess his correctly!

Nice knife.
Anyway I'm glad I dot nothing for this next one, because I'm running out of ideas.
If noticed that the longer this goes on, the harder it gets because people have to dig deeper into the barrel for knives that haven't been done.

Thanks bud! Nice piece. I would likely have one inbound, but a custom, a Whittler and a half-whit in one week has drained my knife allowance for the time being...

If you come up with another puzzle, feel free to crack mine.

Does anyone want to take a swing at this or do I have to give another clue...
