Knife guessing game ( based on description ) now guessing fixed blades

Thanks for the list, made this one easier to come up with!

This is a long, slender attractive knife that even when closed is still open and half to fully functional.

That would be the folding fixed blade, I believe marbles was first and they called by a different name

Though that is similar to what I am looking for, the one I choose is a bit more sleek and slender.

It is also of international heritage and make.

If no one can come up with it by 6pm eastern, I will accept your answer.

Ok, go ahead Hickory.

For the record I was looking for Meula or Joker of Spain, shown below:

I had a feeling it was gonna be a Spanish knife, but I've never heard of those before.
Anyway here goes
This is a lightweight equal end slipjoint with bright colored synthetic scales that has a single unique clip point blade.

Ok I've sat on my hands for 4 hours now and tried to give someone else a turn. It's the Victorinox Daypacker.

You all really have me over a barrel trying to come up with a unique puzzler. All I got is this: to use this peculiar two-part knife some disassembly and reassembly is required.

I see what you did there, Doctor!! Very nice!:D:D:thumbup:

OK, this is my first time so be gentle.

This is a pattern that was originally produced nearly 100 years ago. The originals, which sold for $2.25, are now some of the most expensive production knives you can find. It's lineage has been honored by most American manufacturers throughout the years, with at least two currently offering a version. However, the original manufacturer doesn't recognize it's great history and only traces it's ancestry back 35 years or so. Around here it's the smaller version that gets top billing, though one could hardly call it miniature. When I bought my first rendition the dealer warned me "I know of very few people comfortable carrying one as a 'pocket' Knife". It's based on another popular pattern, but it's distinctive enough that I consider it a different knife altogether.

So, I may have effectively killed this thread. :o

More hints to stimulate guesses: GEC has produced a copy of this knife, and Queen did before them. Queen is still producing it, and Case recently began. It's a large two-bladed knife, with both blades pivoting on one end. It can be found in both bolstered and bare-head variations. GEC and Case both paid tribute to the original in their pattern numbers.

That's definitely it, Will. The Remington 1123, Queen Mountain Man, GEC 23, Case 23006 Panama, etc. etc.

Thanks Cory, great knives but too much for my pocket.

The next object is a single-blade knife that comes in several sizes, is Alpine and has a ring....
