Knife guessing game ( based on description ) now guessing fixed blades

Nope on the Buck 110 front.

Since it is past 6pm, I will solve it and let the next person to post have a turn.
While this knife may not be able to move on its own, it is not a paraplegic.
It looks like it has a rather ear piercing shape, and when thought of phonetically, if it is not played well the sound to can also be ear piercing.
Broken back Seax
Paraplegic = Broken back
Phonetic pronunciation of answer = Sax
Ear piercing if not played well? saxophone or Sax for short.

Not my photo, but a gussied up seax. Since we all like pics.

Good tries, someone post a New Clue set.

I've had one I wanted to use, so I guess il take a turn.

This knife would be perfectly at home in an old-time boxcar.

H&S, it seems like I usually either figure them out almost immediately or I haven't got ANY idea.

Let's try for maker and model of a BIG folder (5.75" closed), single blade, an "update" of an old pattern originally from Germany. Here are some clues for the words I'm after:
- low temperature
- homophone for the term used when a player runs from one base to another because the pitcher/catcher aren't paying close enough attention
- an ungulate that sounds like a word for acclaim/praise for an achievement

Cold

Cold Steel Kudu
Nice knife, I have two or three of them.

Kudos, Steve :D; congrats! :thumbup::thumbup:
I've been looking at the Kudu and Eland lately; how do you like the lock system?

OK, your turn!

I think it might get in the way of regular usage, having the ring extend off of the spine like that.

With taking the current issue with Cold Steel atm into account, I am out of the market for products for the forseeable future.

Easy one for y'all :)

Knife is small - smaller than a peanut.
Two blades; California/Trukish Clip and Spey.
Both blades are the same length
Single Nickle Silver Bolster, approx 1/3 the length of the handle, but it is not a Barlow.
Blades open from the same end.
My example has immitation tortoise shell covers (This will help ID the model number) but it was/is available with different cover materials.
Teddy Roosevelt is associated with the brand.
Looking for the brand, model number, and name :)

EDIT: I should probably mention I mentioned the knife in the 'CULT OF THE PEANUT' thread, to see if it was. "close enough" for admittance. (nope) and in the thread dedicated to the brand and related.

Told you it was easy :)
Your turn. :)

Got that one thanks to a little Google-Fu. :D

Alright, this one probably isn't too tough either, but I don't think it's been used yet, so here we go. The knife I'm thinking of is a single blade knife, but it's "multipurpose" in more ways than one. First, it started its life off as something else, which can still be seen along the spine of the blade. Second, it has a uniquely designed tool built in as part of the single blade, which can be used when the knife is closed and is particularly helpful when you're a bit parched. Pretty basic folding mechanism, Micarta scales, and a few different blade shapes to pick from… but if you want one of these, you might be waiting a while. :D

Looking for the maker and model name.

Probably not too tough if someone knows anything about a certain knife you acquired recently, right, Barrett?? ;)
(A lot of the puzzles I've posed have been related to canoes; is it just a coincidence that's probably my favorite pattern? :D)

- GT

EDIT: While I was typing my post, Will chimed in with what I suspect is exactly the answer Barrett wants. Good work, Will!

What can I say? It was on my mind (and sitting in front of me). :D

Fine looker that Friction Folder, didn't connect you to the recent pic though, lazy on my part!

What's really testing is finding new examples. Actually, the OP forgot to mention that whoever 'finishes' this thread will be given the OP's entire collection as a reward  Now there's incentive:D:D:D

Er, the next object, er...

Right, this single blade could have rodent connexions.

Question: When a file is repurposed into a knife, does the maker re-heat treat the file to something a bit "softer" or more resiliant to impact/not as brittle?
I've dropped a file or three in my time, onto concrete, and the file shattered or broke.
