Almost done with the BuckMaster 184 document for BCCI site. ;)Just a few more tweaks. In a few months I am going to add more pictures, production dates and numbers. Jack Foresman will have this revised version up shortly on BCCI site. I am now working on the History of the 185LT and the 186 Titainum take apart next for BCCI. Then Nighthawk 650 and variations,Intrepid series and the NEW TOPS/BUCK collaberation.MY PERSONAL Goal is to have all The Buck Tactial knives from early 80's and 90's in document form posted to BCCI site by the 25th BCCI celebration 2013 :D

Slap on the back and three group hoorahs to rich XDguys.

Several "OTHERS" have said they were working on one, but I have received no notice they were ever completed, even partially......(group grumble).

There are those of you out there that could easily do at least a photo and description of all the variations of one model they have....come on now.....

I will do another shortly, so work on it before the good hunting gets started...

sadly so many things i have difficulty with in life
have prevented me from making any progress on this..
will try to make more effort towards this goal

Mr. Dave,my friend.

Knowing some of your up-hill struggles let me suggest. You can do decent photos, I have seen them, pick a dozen knives all of the same era, or same blade material or same something. Take one good closeup sideview photo for each knife and write a short, couple of lines, bare bones description. Just the basics.

Fix that up,send it in to Jack and see how it goes, and after a week or so regrouping start another dozen.

Just think how it would have been when you were learning and starting out collecting, to have a photo gallery of 110s with descriptions. It would have been great, right.......

Get them all photographed and then, worry about getting them in order, making an index, showing each tiny detail and writing a Hemingway like narrative of their creation and development.

First we crawl and then we walk. You can do it.....And by golly so can a dozen others of you, you know who you are.........

Ok,

Someone out there help Dave and anyone else who could use it.

Develope a page useable in a common program that someone could type in a pre-printed form some basic knife information. Such as blade material, handle material, date manuf. etc. BUT, leave a big piece of the page so a photograph can be inserted. Sort of a standard form everyone can use.

A bunch of you people are way smarter than me, I can picture it in my mind but don't know how to fix it, so how about it.

Maybe to get started email Jack Foresman (jforesman@embarqmail.com) to see what format the BCCI site will support.

Come help out Dave, me and the silent but COMMITTED others out there.........300Bucks

He like's PDF. However Jack is more than willing to convert what you have. Let's all "get r done". This for sure is a team effort. I have have imput from many sources on the one I did.

Hi RXD,

I was in there last weekend....very nice work on the 184 info. That is one Buck I don't have yet;). Has this had a revison today, or is it as it was last weekend?

I just completed the BuckMaster LT Model 185 History for our BCCI site. Thank you CJ and Joe for all your input. It's packed with prototype pics and other great stuff. I am working on the 186 History next... Also I will be writting a book on the BuckMaster series that will cover 184,185, and maybe 186.. We will see...I work full time and have 4 kids sorry this took so long to complete..
Have a VERY BLESSED NEW YEAR!

Many blessings on you. But one more favor to ask. How about writing an article for the BCCI newsletter on "How" you worked on you history to encourage others to try.....Contact Jack Foresman at email listed on BCCI home page.

You have set the bar high but I encourage others to just do the best they can and that will be good enough.

thanks XD 300bucks
