Knife Identification (Based on Real Model?) #2

The grip makes me think of a Strider knife, and he has certainly done a lot of one-offs over the years.

My guess is that you won't find a real-life version of this knife, because that would be grounds for an intellectual property lawsuit.

That's kind of why I included the whole "Will settle for the closest real-world equivalent" part. It's not a big deal to inquire what model it's closest to, ya know? It's not like I'm trying to reproduce or buy one myself. I just want to know what model of knife in existence bears the closest resemblance. Certainly there's no harm in that, legally or ethically.

Okay, now I'm confused. That's a different knife than the first time...?

The knife you originally linked to (black blade) is Strider-ish, but this one with the wood handle and Meso-American sunburst etching is new to me. I can't even begin to guess where this came from.

Yes, this is a new knife I'm asking to be identified. I am allowed to inquire about more than one knife, correct? Through the contributions of multiple individuals, I was able to identify the previous knife I had asked about. Now I would like THIS ONE identified. Hence the "#2" at the end of the thread title. I have a bunch of knives I need identified. That's the whole reason I came here.

1. I wasn't aware how adept the knife experts were on this site and I didn't want to overwhelm them with so much right off the bat.

2. By identifying one knife, I may in fact discover the model of another one on my list, thus rendering it pointless to ask about it at all.

3. When you make long lists, things tend to get overlooked or generalized in an attempt to cut corners. People might just give up and tell me to visit a website or a buy a book that's way too broad and doesn't meet my needs.

4. You personally don't have to answer every thread. I'll be happy as long as I get a solid answer at all.

5. Isn't it a good thing that I'm making a lot of posts about knives? Isn't the whole point of this site to increase awareness about knives in one way or another?

Unknown model of fixed blade combat knife
CGI model designer neglected to include markings and dimensions of blade
First appeared in video game "Counter-strike Online"
What is the make and model of this knife? Would appreciate being as specific as possible.
May not be an existing model. Will settle for the closest real-world equivalent.

It looks like a cheap tourist type knife that you would buy in a bazaar overseas.

Yes, but generally quality knives that get used.

I think there is a line of display knives based on counterstrike models, you might want to look at those as well.

Well thank you for the evaluation. But I need to have a little more specific answer.

OK, the knives you are asking about are a figment of the imagination of the game designer. There are no real world knives exactly like these. There may be thousands of similar knives, but any similarity with the game knives is purely incidental. If they wanted to reference a real knife they would have licensed the manufacturer's name for it.

There is no specific answer because it's not real. It's cooked up by someone who probably has never used a knife and was based loosely off some piece of junk they saw somewhere.

The thing is these posts are not really about knives, they are about fantasy content of video games. Why should the main page of this forum be clogged up with post after post asking about fantasy knives that don't really exist in the real world, displacing the usual threads with actual knife content that you would expect on a knife forum ? A single thread containing all the questions will also keep the content in one place were it can be found more easily by those so inclined to look.
