Knife/knives you regret buying

Tell me if you ever regreted buying a knife, and you can explain if you want too...

What is the knife or what knives?
What happened to make you regret the purchase?

Any knife I ever purchased from a maker later found to be of less than stellar character. Anything else can be dealt with directly with the vendor, or the maker...usually successfully. Sometimes you find out that you didn't know what you didn't know.

A couple of Randall minis. I think it took two of them until I realized the pointlessness of them.

Can't think of any. Even the ones which were disappointing for F&F, ergonomics, or performance have served as lessons learned.

Can't say I've regretted buying any knife, from my Cub Scout days to the present. My only regrets are for the ones I lost.

Even with good quality reviews , sometimes I need to try for myself .

If I’m honest, I regret most of them.
Not because there is anything wrong or I don’t like them, but because I tend to overdo things in any hobby I take up. Having a large excess feels wrong to me, but getting the next one balances that out for a while.

I don’t think I have too many regrets on buying, most of my regrets would be some of the ones I have sold. Even though I have more than enough for many many multiple lives lol.

I have a few impulse buys that didn't tickle my fancy, but I just regifted them to my brother and he loves them.

I have a knife from a particular maker who turned out to be hot garbage to his customers, and even his design of another knife crafted by a different manufacturer still leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth regardless of it being a pretty great knife.

A few knives, some wildly expensive and super thick sharpened anvils, medford boa anti personel knife is one example
Some extrema ratio models, the expensive Spartan daggers. Etc.

Most double edge knives I’ve bought I’ve sold. They look cool but I never really find a practical EDC-type use for them.

Knives with choils don’t last long around here.. for some reason I’ll still buy one a couple times a year ( and proceed to sell it ).

No, none of the purchased knives have been particularly regrettable. Some of the ones I got for free, however...

Nope, just knives I regret not buying. Going to Blade Show with a pre-determined budget makes for difficult choices.

Most of them. I have dozens of knives I never use, sitting in boxes. Ah the folly of youth.
