Knife Makers Moving to China??

Over the past year less then five people ever said to me: "I want a knife made in North America, I don't mind that it'll cost more."
Hundreds said to me: "What's your cheapest knife ? All those $ 100 knives are exactly the same as these $ 8 chinese knives, so give me the cheapest you have."
This is why Wal Mart rules. People not only demand china stuff, but they've convinced themselves that buying moose hunter husband/dad/uncle a $ 8 knife is the same as buying a CPM154 Buck Alpha Hunter.
It's always funny to show these people steel charts, cutting tests, and my own knives just so they get really angry at me and start screaming how anything more then the china stuff is a complete ripoff...
Guns are funny too- Give me something exactly like a Sako 85, but I don't want to pay more then $ 350 tax included.
