Knife Movies?

"Kiss The Girls"......SOG Pentagon.

"Collateral"......Chriss Reeves Sebenza.

"Payback".......Spyderco Endura.

"Tears Of The Sun"........Emersons La Griffe, Police Utility Knife, Kandahar, etc.

"Three Kings"......Benchmade 3550.

"The Fan"........Lots of Gerbers and Cold Steel.

The Cave is a recent film I saw with some knives featured in it. ...Piper Perabo also (:D ) - the movie is very dark & its hard to tell what they are but there are a bunch of scenes with what looks like a couple small fixed blades plus a larger blade

A couple months(?) ago a horror film (The Descent) came out, although it didn't get good critical ratings, IMO it's one of the better horror films to come out in a long time. In a couple scenes a liner-or frame-locking folder is used, which looks an awful lot like the old Benchmade Pinnacle.

Versus

Samurai/Yakuza/zombie movie with lots of guns and edged weapons. I spied some hokey fantasy swords, butterfly knives and one of those Cold Steel knife/spear heads.

I'm not saying it's great cinema, but fun nonetheless.;)

Not a movie, but last night's CSI: Miami had a knife fight in it. Couldn't tell what the knives where, though. They appeared to be automatics. Kind of a cheesy fight, though. :o

Here are my favorites:

First Blood 1 & 2: Lile knives
Predator: Jack Crain knives
Commando: Jack Crain knife and Russian Springblade
The Big Brawl: Butterfly knives
Chronicles of Riddick
McGuyver: Swiss army knife
The Hunted
The Edge
The Dune Mini series: According to my understanding in the book, in the future, due to personal shielding, projectile firearms will be nearly useless. The shields protect against the rapid speed and energy of the projectiles. Therefore, enemy combatants would have to get up close and personal to slowly thrust the blade through the shield in order to kill the enemy combatant.

Lastnight I turned on the TV and there was Anthony Hopkins in that movie. Not sure of the title, but I think it's "The Wild". Don't know the name of the knive, but he had a folder. He had to survive in the mountain with nothing but his knive. Started watching from the middle of the movie but it was a great movie.

The Transporter, looked like a small Microtech auto, he used it a couple of times
first to slit the tape of the girl in the bag in his trunk so she could sip some
juice he bought...

Danny DeVito at the end of the movie, The Heist, thought some gold was melted down and made into railings on a boat. So he took out his knife, which close-up read either Pardue or Elishewitz (I forget which), and proceeded to try and scratch the metal railings to see what the story was.

How anout Peter Coyote in Exposure?

Gene

I guess you (and many others) missed my long write-up on this movie. No offense to you you anyone else but do people usually just read the thread title and then respond? Seems most people don't read the posts which is the purpose of the forum....I think.
