Knife Outlet.com SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not really sure what your last post says Todd, but I think somewhere in it, it says that I need to be Damned. You may take it lightly to come here and smear a good man's reputation, but I assure you that the people who have done business with Fred and Fred himself DO NOT take it lightly. I am sure Fred had to take considerable time and had to deal with a lot of added stress just to put out the flames that you so casually started. So don't come here and complain about not getting a group hug from everyone. And no, the horse is most assuredly not dead yet, and the stress YOU receive from your cute little post should be ten times what Fred had to deal with. Cry on someone else's shoulder because you are reaping what you sowed.

Mike,

You and I were posting at the same time so I didn't see your's until I was done. There have been too many of these type of posts here lately. They come in all bold and pissy, and think that they are going to have everyone jump on their bandwagon and trash a guy that we all know is a standup businessman. They don't ask for anyone's opinion on what happened, they just post the most vile sounding topic header that they can think of and proceed to try and ruin someone's business. They then get their ass handed to them and suddenly we are the pricks for not being all kissy with them over their lame apology. If the guy sticks around and earns his way back in, fine, but all too often they pull this crap and get their apology and then disappear. Why should we cut this guy slack? Did he do that for Fred? An apology seems pretty hollow compared to trying to ruin an honest person's business.

Jim, you know as well as I that these sort of accusation posts do not have the potential to 'ruin' anyone's business. Most of us see them for what they are. In this case, Todd1 took a lot of heat, realized his mistake, and posted this thread: I was wrong about Knife Outlet.

Let it go. This is a dead issue. Todd1 took his lumps and admitted his error. As someone who thinks that everyone should be allowed to make a mistake and be forgiven for it, I ask everyone to let this thing go. Defending our own is a good thing until it starts to looks like everyone is enjoying kicking a man on the ground who has stopped fighting.

Let this thread die. This thing is OVER.

Jim, I agree with what you said and I agree with Paracelsus that it should be dropped.

I hope others will learn from this.

I want to add one thing
I've been running my own small engine biz for the
last 11 years and making knives for
25+ years. I've run into many warranty problems for
makers as Stihl, Jonsered, lawn-boy ecct.
When you get two people connected by a third party
(shipping 100's of people) you have a
Inherent problem now and both parties need to be very
careful what they say or do
Some get narrow between the eyes and can't see
the big picture I think because of this
Tread everyone has leaned a lot
This is why I like this Forum it's a learning tool.
Fred had to do what he did, like he said,
it's business and that's the P,R, you have to contend with.
Now a day you can take almost anything back to
wall-mart or the like and get your money back
In most any condition.
this is teaching the public every guy that sells
should do the same, NOT, but it's making it hard
to do business , we can only convey our terms and
how they work and deal with what's left.
Just my two cent... Todd1 is just one caught up in
a not knowing situation this will leave a scare
on him so be easy, we all have screwed up Royally...
todd1 if you know the packaging was not
up to pare you owe Fred some money and some future
business it's the only way you two are going to
Get along now,, it will heal in time..Dan

I'd be willing to do buisness with him and his in a second.

Fred: You're a class buisness act and I'm spreadin' the word.;)

Todd: Glad to see you came around, dude. You needed (need) to make this right.

For the first time, I've had an idea about the software here that I would like to see. Am sure it won't happen, but it still would be a good idea.

I wish that when a negative thread like this is posted, that automatically a search on the crticized person/organization ought to be automatically attached. Of course, even if it were, that wouldn't ensure that anybody would read the earlier posts.

I just find it frustrating that a complaint such as was posted here, actually does carry the potential to harm a business such as Fred's. I haven't been here very long, but have already seen enough posts about Knife Outlet, that I know that Fred is straight. So, in spite of the fact that I opened this thread, like somebody else, was convinced that I could pretty well predict the outcome.

Companies that have "paid their dues" here shouldn't be in so vulnerable a position from one such post.

Personally, I think it is the unwillingness to do searches and check things out, or the unfamiliarity with the system, and the ability to get the big picture that is the root of the problem here. That's why I'd like to see the software at least offer the "big picture" when such negative posts are made.

Still wish to proffer my idea for the software, but want to apologize for my failure to notice the original dates of this thread. Would hazard a guess that this was the first thread that gave me such a good opinion of Knife Outlet.

When a man admits he has made a mistake, he is WAY ahead of most "men" these days.

However, to end this I am curious if that means TODD1 is also "not" going to accept the refund.

Your apology is very appropriate.
