Knife Pick Giveaway! WINNER CHOSEN #73 Doc 13!

I put those in there for both. They serve a purpose as a sort of jimping to get a good purchase on the pick when you use it to open a knife. I also mimicked somewhat the style of screw driver blades on old electricians knives. Everything on this is rounded and will not offend your hand during use.

I would love to try out a true pick- I have a small tool that I carry as a portable fingernail (as mine have to be kept short), but have not been impressed when trying to use it as a pick. I'm curious why you added 'sharpening notches'- purpose or aesthetic?

As for patterns, I have not noticed you adding a punch to your knives (sorry if I have missed it), and I have always wanted to see a wharncliffe/punch combo, similar to a GEC Executive Whittler.

Great looking pick by the way!

Thanks for the giveaway!
Kris

Thanks Sarah! It's funny you posted that pic. It is one of the few production knives I have here in my desk drawer. The reason I kept it ... to use as a pattern for a knife in the future, so count on seeing one eventually.

Jared, what a beautiful little piece you've created!

I am so in. :)

In general, I'd say just keep doing what you're doing; every knife so far has been a revelation.

But, since you asked? I'd enjoy seeing your take on something like this (3.25"):

Thanks Chris. Life is trying to kick my butt but I'm kicking back. I hope you are doing well!

Jared, nice GAW. I will take a shot, though by the end, I expect my chance to be something like 1 in 300. That's ok--it's all in good fun. Hope all is well with you and yours.

This is beautiful - I'd be proud to own it!

Also would be proud to own a zulu like in the second pic - if only one was available.......

Thanks for the chance, Jared! That looks like a useful little key chain tool. I don't recall seeing a Fiddleback/Cokebottle or a Sowbelly that you've made yet. Either would be a good choice for a new pattern.

I also just noticed your custom title for the first time. It's an excellent description for the distinctive style of your knives. Keep up the great work.

Count me in Jared, looks great!

I wouldn't change a thing that I can see, and I really like the multi-purpose aspect.
I'm thinking one to match my Trapper might be in order.

I'm in, with thanks! If you're looking for ideas, I'm partial to friction folders... ;)

I would love a chance at that nifty keyring jewelry! It was a pleasure meeting you at Blade Jared. You, and your father...oops, I meant Jeff! are both class acts.
With your attention to detail, if you ever feel the urge, I would love a 3.75" three blade sowbelly pattern from you. Sunken joints, hand and pocket friendly. That would do it for me. Best of luck to all.

Nice, I think It'd look great with my Zulu as well! I'm in on this.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mike, it was great meeting you. The "older gentleman" I was with was actually my good friend Jeff. He's the real class act.
