Knife picture's from blade?

My $.02. Forget lodging or travel expenses, dericdesmond essentially lost "money" on every knife when you factor in the labor of posting, organization of orders/payments, packaging, and shipping. Plus he fronted a boatload of cash, and there's value in that, too. I appreciate the chance at those nice blades.
 
Wow! Almost 2 years on the forum, only 6 posts, and half of those on this thread. Sounds classic.
Sorry about your brother's present. Maybe you should try BK&T, TOPS, or if you just want something pretty, maybe see if AG Russell has any Randalls.

Oops, my mistake. 5 out of 6 posts on this thread alone.
Obviously has much more important things to do.

Let's just get that quoted for posterity before you go and edit it. You don't get to crash and dash.

Dericdesmond would be one of the first people to help out if given the chance. You've got this turned around 180 degrees, and if you can't see that by all the support he's gotten here, then you're just choosing to be blind.
 
Jason that's sucks about trying to score a blade I understand. I agree with rockslpyder get your brother a nice Randell. I know a guy who can get you one in three months if that's what you want. This gentleman is high volume and you will pay for the privilege . What we are trying to say is dericdesmond brought his offerings to the blade forums in a stand up fashion. (Thank you). He could have gone to flea bay and made more. A fact we have all said multiple times and you have chosen to back out of the conversation with hurt feeling I guess over the newb comment. Was he a little harsh with newb comment maybe but it's the Internet get over it. He took offense to being lumped with LK.

Honestly his for sale post showed off more blade offerings than anyone else and that was a joy for me.

Again buddy your barking up the wrong tree. Also to come into a community driven forum and attack a member that has so much support is just wrong in my book. I don't know how you missed the big picture that dericdesmond is a great guy and obviously well respected here.
 
Wow, just....Wow.

Wanted to go to blade this year. Didn't get to. Did my research, I know how it all works. No biggie. I'll try for next year. Hopefully Busse will make KC in the fall or spring.
 
I was at Blade. Both Ben (zmbhntr, TRUFFLEHUNTER!) and Eric (dericdesmond) helped me get a knife that I wanted. Yes, there's a mad dash at the start, and I don't participate in those (much).

Both of them are top notch dudes. It might seem that a few folks are out to resell, and that's true, but I've been a Hog for 3 years and haven't ever left dissatisfied.

Don't let the negative talk dissuade you from attending Blade or participating in the Exchange. If Eric didn't play like he does, then even more of the INFI would end up in the hands of the less scrupulous resellers. Like it or hate it, he's doing the Exchange a service.
 
Like Z, MBHNTR said, the experience of the Blade is awsome (i imagine) ill plan to go in 2017 just for that, and to Meet the Boss.
If I get to pick up a few Blades while im there, Well than it would be a Cherry on the Top lol
