Knife recomendation

In the UK, you'll probably get better pricing on knives from European or Asian manufacturers, compared to US-made knives.
The various Italian brands (MKM, Fox, Viper, etc) make good folding knives, and I particularly like their micarta.

yeah, mkm fara would be my edc in the uk... simple 390 steel and very capable slipj

Since your in Europe I can recommend you a knives and tools website based in the Netherlands that sells to the UK. They are fairly cheap. But keep in mind that prices in Europe are waaay higher than in the US. A Spyderco tenacious which might cost 25 dollars cost over 60 pounds in Europe.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THERE!
DO NOT ORDER FROM KNIVESANDTOOLS!

They did not even ship the order and yet refuse to return your money and yet they refuse to cancel it! Now there's a process with card house to reverse the transaction since that's obviously the only way to see the money back!

Go to Trustpilot, press on one star reviews and you'll see sudden surge of 1 star reviews that started recently. I don't know what happened to them, but not shipping orders, and sending empty boxes or wrong items became a thing to them. And it seems they don't give a refund to anyone either, while they like to ignore e-mails.

Just tell the people openly you're the one who got scammed by them. It's not either your shame or your fault.

They used to be decent but I cannot reccomend them anymore. Dealing with them is asking for a major headache and risking being conned out of your money.

Something happened with them, either new owner or business going down... as they used to be decent company and now suddenly they use similar practices often used by scammers and con artists.

Do yourself a favor and avoid Knivesandtools at all costs.

Well, I did purchase from them in the past, so I didn't expect that they'd take this route. Hopefully transaction will be reversed.

Back to topic...
Viper Berus 1 in M390 seems like a great EDC blade.

I've purchased from knives and tools over a dozen times without any issues, got the order history to prove it. That being said. Do your research and if you don't feel comfortable ordering from there, don't do it and look for another shop. :)

As for non locking knives I can recommend the Spyderco UK models, the otter 168 or similar slipjoint models.

I also made lots of purchases from there in the past, yet this time I'm being scammed. They didn't shi my order and refuse to give me back my money. They keep telling me that they don't make order cancellations because their CEO told them not to. Yet my order wasn't shipped, and they refuse to return me my money.
They also changed their story multiple times.
From saying that they will ship it within 12 days to telling me they already shipped it, despite the fact I never received tracking number.

From all this it's obvious that this is a scam.
I've contacted my bank and they told me that this what they're doing is against the law. I've forwarded them all our conrespondence and reported a fraud. Now I'm hoping that transaction will be reversed soon.

Then also, go to Trustpilot, click on one star reviews. There's suddenly lots of them, and they've all been made recently. One thing is similar in all of them - they refuse to give a refund. Main culprit of scam.

Order from them again if you trust them, but I don't. I'm writing this as a warning, since I'd hate to see other people repeat my mistake.

About reccomendation - Viper Breus looks very appealing to me.
Also Cold Steel Mini Pendleton.

This is not the Good, Bad, & Ugly forum.

Been a really busy few days so not looked on here and did not expect it to have so many posts. so thank you all.

In terms of locking knives in the uk as another person mentioned its fine with a good valid reason which my work would be valid i believe. obviously if i am not at work i would carry a little vic SAK.

You might also check out a Maserin Jager. I don't have one yet but I really like the looks of the two-blade option for a work type knife.

Not a fan of the maserin Jager but have been looking at other maserin knives. not a brand i particularly know but looking at them it seems they make good quality knives for the price.

In other news i bough another SAK because ive lost my old huntsman that i have had, used and carried eveyday for about 10 years. absolutely gutted

Spyderco Manix 2. A little heavier and heavier duty than the Para Military 2, great ergonomics.

because im so indecisive im going to have to think about all the good recomendations and furher my criteria and maybe adjust price

Also to add. i got the Spyderco PM2 for its larger size with the digi camo scales as i didnt really care what they looked like. the steel is s30v. and was the cheapest version new,

Plus i found my missing SAK Huntsman so need to clean that up as it is hard to open and gritty feeling. no idea if the liners are rust resistant in these.
