Knife related New Years resolutions?

I'm with most of you in moving towards planned/budgeted purchases, no impulse buys, and users only. Aside from getting the compulsion under control, my other 2010 goals include getting paper wheels and Sharpmaker ultra-fine rods.

Also, I've been carrying clipped to work (office casual) for a few weeks instead of deep pocket carry only. It is liberating and really expands my weekday EDC choices. Open carry (knives anyway) in 2010!

Oh yeah: if I don't finish them all in the next few days, I want to quickly finish up my half-finished knife projects -- finally rehandling my MNS with mosaic pins, finally refurbing a vintage Spyderco Remote Release I for a friend, finally reprofiling my E4, etc.

In 2009, I actually achieved many of my knife goals: attended a bladesmithing class, got my "out" pile mostly sold off, got a kydex press.

(jtr357) i like & have kind of followed the same resolutions,or tried to over the past two years.i did a few impulse buys but they turned out good, cause they were customs.i am at the point now that anything i get in 2010 has to be real unique,& equal or surpass what i have now, which is a real tall order.i also dont want anymore knives with a blade less than 3 1/2" cause i never carry them, they just sit.the only knife right now that i can see getting next year is a umnumzaan & the new kershaw volt.i would like to be satisfied with what i already have, but you know how it is....
