I wash it with stuff I use to wash things.
Soap and hot water, hand sanitizer, isopropyl alcohol...whatever I have around.
I don't open bags of poop with my knife like old Boris did, so I'm not too worried anyway.![]()
dirt, grease, and oil just add a little flavor to the food.
I've learned to love 10w oil sandwiches over the years so the little whatever on my knife is nothing

I always have hand sanitizer in my bag.
I also have a roll of toilet paper in there...if you have to crap in the woods, you'll want both those things.![]()

I have never given it any thought. Good question.
The most I have done is spray it with a garden hose from time to time or pour a beer over it.
Waste of a good perfectly good beer if you ask me!:thumbup:
