In San Diego for business, and was wondering if there were any knife shops down town. I checked a few pawn shops and they didn't have a single knife for sale. Can any locals point me in the right direction?
Depending on how much time you've got and how far you're willing to travel, you're striking distance from one of the premier cutlery retailers in the Country . . . Plaza Cutlery in the South Coast Plaza shopping center, Costa Mesa. Believe me, they're worth the trip!
San Diego is pretty bleak for knife shops. If you are here over the weekend drive up to Julian. Small local owned knife store up there with an interesting selection. No bargains but I usually try to pick something up when I'm there.
Check out sempre fi depot, they have a decent selection of Spydies, Benchmade (at excellent prices) and ZT. I live in La Jolla and have been lamenting this a lot but I think Sempre Fi has a decent selection actually.
Yeah I'll second semper fi. They have really good prices. If you are looking for something specific or like to browse gear it's worth a stop. Not really a destination store. I've bought several knives from them and a bunch of molle gear.
