Knife Sleeve

One thing to consider with a custom knife... Being a custom, it can still be customized after the fact (as can most knives). If the handles get damaged, they can be repaired or replaced if that is what you want. Also, a knife with well used blades and pristine handles would look funny to me.

I'm in the camp that says it's your money and your knife, do what you like. There's no right or wrong answer regardless of how vociferously one side or another presents its case.

Life's too short not to enjoy that which gives you pleasure and doesn't intrude on the rights or pleasure of your neighbors.

If keeping it pristine gives you the most pleasure, there you go. If using it and allowing it to develop "character" makes your day, well then, problem solved.

Just a thought.

If I spent $1000 or more on a knife, I'd damn well carry it whichever way I liked, regardless of the maker's feelings on the matter.

You guys don't get your panties wadded, this was all in fun. I don't care how you carry it.

I use one. I got one with my scagel fruitport and have actually quite enjoyed it. I don't carry it for protection, but because it prevents my knife from falling out of my pocket. Since using the sleeve I haven't had my knife drop out once in over a year. Before then I had my knife slide out occasionally (on the bus and on some couches). Loss prevention is why I use one :)

As usual better then I could have said it.

Same here Kevin.

One of those knife slips came with my Boker Anniversary camp knife. It looked nice so I used it once, I didn't want the nice chestnut scales scratched, then thought, "it's a camp knife!"

It's in my drawer now with the belt sheaths I have for my bigger knives/multitools...

However, I do like the look of those clip style ones, I'd like to have my knife right at my fingertips rather than digging through my pocket. I have a Kershaw that came with one and it works well.

We just had to figure out a way to get you to post here. It worked well didn't it.:D
Of course you do still scare me a little bit.

Buy one or make your own. 300

My kids aren't currently signed up with BFC vendor accounts, sorry, but they did make me a couple duct-tape sleeves for $.50 each :D
