Knife - Stolen or Lost

Wow that blade must have taken a lot of time. That would just slay me if it happened to me. I'm glad to hear however that you have philosophized the experience and have resolved to make an even !BETTER! knife... I can't wait to see pics of that one. I'm sorry for your loss.

Stacy I'm so sorry for the loss. There's no way I'd forget that knife, and for what it's worth I'll keep my eyes peeled when I see knives for sale. That one though will probably never see public sale just because of its value. My first knife was stolen from my house almost 20 years ago, and I still watch for it all over town and on eBay. I know that's silly but I can't help myself. I'd pay about anything to get it back. Yours isn't the same situation in any way, but I sure empathize with the loss.

You have the best possible attitude about this. I try to take the higher moral ground too, and it is not always easy. I commend and respect your integrity, and hope that your recover the knife some day. Meanwhile, I hope you will share the "new" one with us when it's completed; it sounds beautiful.

Thanks, Dave.

The knife ( as are all my knives) is marked:

Looked at the pictures and that was a real work of art. Sorry to hear about it getting ripped off.

It really burns me up when I hear about things like this happening to folks who go out of their way to help/teach others so much. I hope it works out for you and will keep an eye out for the knife.

Stacy I'm so sorry for the loss. That is a beautiful piece of work. And I can imagine all the hours of hard work you put into making it. The setting of the diamonds show real workmanship.

Most of the truck moving companies usually have someone clean the truck up for the next customer. Perhaps they got it. But from reading your post about the safe I would say that to, looks suspicious. You could discuss it with a local lawyer and see if a search order could be enforced. But I can tell you this if that knife ever returns up here in my state I will let you know. Also, check with the pond shops in your surrounding area. :(

Really sorry to hear this Stacy! I think the police should be involved. A true shame that someone would take a beautiful piece from its rightful owner.
