I was driving on Route 202N last weekend. Had somewhere to be and couldn't stop. Right near the Jimmy John's hotdog place(slightly above the Route 1 intersection) I saw a sign for a knife store. Don't remember seeing it before. Anyone familar with it?

Haven't seen it but want to! The only store I know of in this area is Country Knives on Route 340 toward Lancaster. Did you catch the name on the sign?

Didn't catch the name-Just remember big BW sign "Knives" & Knives sharpened." It wasn't there before. Targetmaster Gun store/range further down S. on 202 carries some knives,Benchmade and SOG but full retail.

Yeah, thats the place. I'm not positive but I think they had a sign up about sharpening knives. I looked at the Booths Corner Directory and couldn't find any knife stores listed. The photos in the add show mainly martial arts, samurai & China cheapy type knives-stuff you'd see at a flea market. Not exactly what I'm interested in but if any lives near there a stops in post a few details.

I've been to the Countyknives Store it's really nice. They have just about every knife manufacturer covered. The only thing is that every knife is sold at the retail price.

It is expensive, but selection is good. I've picked-up some Old Hickory and Wetterlings there.

I just saw the sign for the 202 knife store yesterday coming home from the airport. It was too late at night to go check them out so i'll have to go this weekend. Looks like their hours have them closing at 5:30, i hate it when retail shops aren't open when people with day jobs can go shop. Stores like this need to be open til 7 or 8. Any way, i'll try and get out there saturday and check it out.

As for country knives they are fantastic, i spent over an hour there playing with any knife i pointed at. i'm happy to pay retail price when the dealer lets you play with $300 zero tolerance knives with no expectation for you to buy one.

I just came back from a trip out to 202 Knives. The owner is a nice guy, his store has been around for about a year or so. He has a lot of antiques. As far as new knives he doesn't stock any name brand knives but he will order from his distributor anything that you are looking for. He has a small room of army surplus gear. and an equal sized room of swords. He does not take credit card so bring cash if you are planning on buying from him.

He did have some Nazi paraphernalia in one of his cases which did give me some pause before buying but it's a part of our history so i can't fault him for carrying it.

I picked up an old fruit sampler he had in one of his cases.
