Knife suggestions around $500

Plenty of suggestions! Ask and you shall receive.😀
But I have to agree with those who’ve suggested the Spartan Harsey SHF & the Chris Reeve Sebenza.…you’ll never regret either one. And they’re both US Made.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Already have a spartan harsey. Never owned a Chris reeve but all the love you guys are giving them I might have to change that.
Your are very welcome.

Any CEK will work, I really like the Inkosi and the umnumzaan
Les George VECP
Arno Bernard iMamba

Olamic Wayfarer 247 is good too and you may have a look on them

Herman knives is more expensive but is fantastic

I came to say get an AB iMamba because I really want one. But like you I'm impatient so I have a Sebenza ;-)

Spartan large SHF! Bust that budget and live a little! New models just dropped!

Easiest thing in the world to resell if you don't like it. But there's an interesting angle. Egged on by the enthusiasm here, I got myself a Large Sebenza. When it arrived, I found no faults in it. It seemed fine. Didn't seem that special, just a good solid knife.

It was only after about 20 times carrying it that I started to really appreciate everything about it. I couldn't even list what I appreciated, but there was no question that this knife was settling into my hand like we were both born to come together. So I now understand the affection for CRK knives, and am still completely unable to explain it. It seemed worth mentioning that it could take a while before it all clicks.

Absolutely agree with this

Hello all! I’m looking to buy a new knife this weekend between $400-$600. I’m having a hard time deciding what to get. If any one has any suggestions I would really appreciate them. I’m a big Hinderer fan and was gonna pick up my 6th one but before I did I wanted to see if anything else tickles me. Thanks!
I have been a huge fan of Chris Reeve knives, so far, my favorite is the large inkosi in tanto as it fits my hand very comfortably and is unbelievably smooth. I just ordered a zaan and I am very excited. If the umnumzaan peaks your interest at all I am pretty sure Knifework's still has a few in stock, but they sell out very fast from my experiences. If you have not owned any CRK's yet I would highly recommend trying one out, even if you do not like it, they seem to sell super quick here on the knife exchange.

Lots of folders here, how about a fixed blade
Reiff F4, will out perform everyone's suggestions here in case youre a user And you'll even have money left over.

I thought about it but I already have a 3.5 spanto and a 3.0 Eklipse harpoon spanto. If I do grab another Hinderer it will probably be a Bowie or wharncliffe they have a few on eBay and the prices aren’t to inflated
They kill you on the fees tho, between taxes and PayPal etc, the buyer and the seller are getting screwed imo…
Much better deals can be had right here on this forum, you just have to be a little quicker, (sometimes).
And since we’re talking about buying on the secondary, your budget puts you into Shirogorov territory, specifically the Quantum Ursus if you like that design

That's what I ended up with! Love it.

I'm newly into Hinderer and picked up a 3.5 Skinny Slicer during the last drop a couple of weeks ago. I recommend that you try one. The slimness reminds me of CRK (as does the "sliceability"), and once I turned it into full-Ti, it's a very nice folder IMO.

Flips awesome too. Not all my Hinderers do.

Edit: Oh, and it's Magnacut (which I like more than 20CV). Not sure why yet.
